fukkin dipped in here and saw a party member spoiler eff y’all for that. OH well.

This game though. Something special. It looked good but this is blowing
Is it just me or does Gustave look like Robert Pattison? It kept bugging me that he reminded me of someone and it finally dawned on me.
Everybody on twitter been saying it...if there's a movie for this there's your guy

Just got Monoco :ohlawd:

I swear to god this character...

Bruh, imagine playing the game as a tester and being "man, I wish I could tame some of these enemies because their moves at lit. Especially these battle crazy mop heads with baby logic... Devs were like, say no more...
Now you get a ninja mob head with the wittiness of an expert englishman but the brain of a bird who can steal the coolest moves from literally every enemy in the game so you now have a tamer who is also absolutely hilarious.
I dont like the way it looks and I haven't gotten em yet...always hated party members in RPG's that werent human especially if they look wack

How does everyone feel about not having a mini-map in dungeons?

I can rock with it. Not having a map isn't bothering me at all.

There is an elegance to this game that few games ever hit. I've long thought Grandia and Final Fantasy 12 were the high points of turned based combat but the simple inclusion of the timing of parrying adds an added element of to the game and you don't have to rely random as hell rng to do a reversing maneuver. This can sit with these games in my mind.

Detail everywhere. I search every nook and cranny in games regardless and the story to not only save your future but to explore the past, this game, as far as feels from how good the world is and the game is giving me Bioshock 1 vibes. Crazy sense of discovery here. The story is piff. This is a bonafide all-timer.

I was cool with nikkas in this thread saying 4th character and what not but now yall are dropping names. I'm out till I finish. :salute:
I looked up all the playable characters before I started playing. Always want to know who is worth paying more attention to.

One of the things with the battle system is because of the skill based mechanics and the fact that you pretty much get one tapped by a lot of shyt it almost makes it so you almost don't want to invest into healing or anything defensive cause you get hit and get clapped anyway. Normally I don't really invest into some of these double edge type shyt(you take double damage/deal double damage type shyt) but its almost better to go that route than standard.

Alot of good reviews, and I saw the gameplay, I miss turn based RPG tbh and it looked real dynamic and engaging
May have to give this a try
