To be honest I never parry unless they jump, most of the time just dodging. Will try parrying and see how I get on.

Learn to parry as much as possible cuz it gives AP. There's usually a sound cue for each attack, so if you parry at the sound, it usually works.

Parrying is pretty vital later on, you get so much extra dmg on top of other Bonuses like AP or something character related

My team is level 40 and I'm still using level 11 weapons for kicks and still one shottin reg mobs with either free aim or one move by Maelle or Sciel...I have a shyt ton of materials to upgrade my weapons for the gang i just havent bothered...i feel sorry for the opps when I do

Any guides on the pictos and leveling up?

Aby Picto you get use it for 4 matches and it levels up or every 4 matches it levels up till you get it to max then you can take it off and level other pictos up...but the first time you level them up the rest of your team can use them passively

I highly suggest playing the game on expert mode. It's an entirely different experience, while I think I'd enjoy the game regardless I think it really makes me appreciate the attention to detail with the battle system.

I'm not very far in it at all ( 1st real village you get to go to) between work and other games I can't really sit with it like I want. Also it almost requires my undivided attention which a game that isn't like a fighter or shooter hasnt done in a long while.
