Probably. But I’d love to see this concept in a longer form, like a tv series. There’s a ton of world building that was rushed to fit this format.

Just found out that Kristen Dunst said that actor who was supposed to play the role Jesse Plemmons played backed out. She said to the director, “why not use my husband?” who was hanging around the film set. So the standout Plemmons was a total accident.

Movie was all over the place. There was damn near nothing that told you about the topic Civil war....why is Texas and California fighting together against the Goverment? Why is the president on his 3rd term? Who is the president and why his forces ditching him? How about we actually hear about whats going on instead of seeing that young PAWG crying every 4th minute because something happening 
and her acting was ass. There is really no message in this movie aside from "war is bad"
If they wanted to make this about a young war photographer getting in the game they could have used actual current conflicts. Like others said in this thread it felt rushed and wanted to capitalize on the upcoming election in America instead of actually coming up with a good story. Wagner Moura and Jesse Plemons did good job. S/O to the breh Stephen Henderson too.

Would have been much better as a TV series and maybe it will end up a series. Movie was mid, some good stuff mixed with a whole lot of filler and a dumb ending.

Movie was a 6 out of 10 just due to some good action scenes.
The young photographer was a savage and her recklessness got two people killed and all she could do was photograph their dead body.
I don’t see how she was supposed to be someone the audience would like.
They could have explained some of what was going on and the why the military guys were so ruthless

Tell me about these merciful militaries that I seemed to have been missing out on
pacing was ass.. fell asleep first act.. decent action..hated the young broad.. contemplated turning it off but powered through.. last act action was cool.
but overall kinda let down... in show form with stuff being fleshed out might be better
