The coli's taste in movies really disappointed me here. This was amazing.
since when do press and photographers participate in full-on firefights and gun battles, armed with nothing but a camera, casually snapping each other getting shot? who were they even trying to get this footage for, in a failed country that was down to 8 or 9 people protecting the president?

the premise was almost too stupid for words :mjlol:

It was down to 8 or 9 ppl because Western Forces killed everybody before it got down to 8 or 9 ppl.

The battle was the entire third act.

The dumbest part is the president wasn't even in his bunker.

Might have been the most over hyped movie I've ever seen.

Agreed. I was hyping it up to my wife...good thing I didn't force her to watch it...she woulda fallen asleep. A forgettable movie.

Watching this right now and....sighs....see this is my main gripe about the movie. It doesn't know what it wants to be. It goes from a journalist taking photos of a civil war involving the country, a sudden pass the knowledge to the youngin trope, arthouse nonsense, "this could happen to this country" political statement, and then a road trip flick to DC because "journalism". Don't get me started with the only person that's likeable in the flick is the dude that was going to shoot the looters at the gas station.

I'm trying to like this movie, but so far it's kinda overrated with most of the A24 "artistry" drivel.

Movie was okay. I felt like they could’ve really did more with it but it was fine.

On the real, thats what it seems like so far. The movie should have focus mainly on the guerilla war aspect, and not so much "plz care about these soulless characters".

So far the flick is semi boring :francis:
