 technically, they did.

Not even technically.

Other studios bought the film rights to those characters and made movies about them. Marvel had very little say so about how those movies are made.

The Marvel Studio films are:

Iron Man
Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers
Iron Man 3

Those are the only films Marvel has actually made themselves. All the other ones were developed and distributed by other movie studios. In fact Marvel has been slowly reacquiring the film rights to their properties. They just got back Blade, Daredevil, and Ghost Rider.

Fox still holds the rights to the X-men characters and the Fantastic Four.

Sony still has Spider-Man.

As long as those studios keep making films based on those characters on a regular schedule they can keep them.

No they didn't. Those are all movies based on the Marvel universe but they aren't out of Marvel Studious:
The "MVL Productions LLC" unit has released seven films since 2008 under the Marvel Cinematic Universe title – Iron Man (2008), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Marvel's The Avengers (2012) and Iron Man 3 (2013). These films all share a timeline, cast and characters.

:stopitslime: are you blind? its further down on that wiki page you probably got that from.

I'm not blind. You're just an idiot. Many of the shiit Marvel you're referring to are films licensed by Marvel. The studious for the most part owned the rights and have all of the say in the development of many of the "shyt" movies you are talking about.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is basically Marvel, not hollywood, having the most say in the development in the films that have been released since 2008.

What happened to Scarlett having a 20 million dollar contract for the last movie? And if im Hemsworth I would be pissed too. He got 5 mill for that Snow White flick and this little bit of money for a billion dollar movie. Not to mention all the money they made with action figures and other promotional items. But at the same time these actors should have had something written in their contract from the start that guaranteed them a portion of the percentage if the movie made a certain amount.

Oh and another thing on this point.......That part in particular is bullshyt.

WELL before Iron Man had gone into production Marvel had made Iron Man one of the premier characters in their universe. He was hardly a minor character before the Iron Man movies.

They don't read comics breh, ignore them.

Off topic, what did you think of Ironman 3? Especially
the Mandarin twist?

Long drawn out response.....

I thought it (the movie) was cool. Honestly aside from the first "Iron Man" and "The Avengers" none of the Marvel movies have made me :whoo: but I feel like each movie is kinda a chapter building towards something bigger. So personally I'm a lot more forgiving if each movie ain't :whoo:

Now as far as the twist, it didn't bother me for a couple of reasons. #1, Mandarin as he is in the comic has no place in the Marvel movie universe. They could've kept him as a terrorist type, but then somebody would complain about "he ain't got the Rings". And if he had the Rings there is no way in hell Iron Man could win, because as we've seen Tony has trouble dealing with shyt like Whiplash and random military-grade weaponry like in part 1 and 2. A dude that can create black holes, disintegrate any object, rearrange matter, and all kinds of other crazy shyt would wreck the movie version of Iron Man.

Also it was kinda similar to how people feel like the government uses terrorists as boogie men to promote their own agendas. So over all I was :ehh: about the twist.

:heh: at people talking about Iron Man is a premiere character in the comics. That's all fine and well but that means jack shyt to the vast majority of people going to see the movies. Iron Man is not a well known character in pop culture to the point that he can carry a movie on name recognition alone which is why 90% of the praise for the 3 movies goes to RDJ in virtually every review.
