China just wrecked all of American AI. Silicon Valley is in shambles.

Idk why dudes are cheering for either US or China in this....this will just intensify development within AI where it will become better and faster, which means more human losing their jobs now that the AI race is in full swing. We are screwed out here:francis:
It's foolish to root against advancements in technology. Let's go back to the days without internet. Cars. Electricity.

I ain't rooting against technology...I just don't like the fact there is no preparation for the incoming takeover by AI in most professions and massive joblessness. Cars, electricity and the internet weren't competing with humans for jobs.

Inside China Business is calling it, DeepSeek will likely be banned in the West. Refers to relevant articles, reports and data in the video.

In a rational market, this development would put a halt to the trillion dollar plans to build out datacenters, power plants to power them up and deploy AI models, and write down investments and market caps for these tech and chip companies. But no, a ban on low cost and effective AI is more likely and to push on with these plans, same as other industries like Huawei telecom equipment and Chinese EVs.

By any means necessary find a way to siphon money out of the real economy of production and consumption into private wealth, it's the American way. While the rest of the world will get affordable EVs, telecoms, and now AI, American consumers will have to fork out $20 a month, or $200 if you're doing business, to use these models.

How much is cost to develop is beside the point. The cat is out of the bag. Affordable and effective AI is here.

Oh now it's gonna be a race to the bottom. Them get rich off of AI schemes got exposed :russ:
I was talking to my boo about this…he’s in cybersecurity but I asked about it and he said it’s legit.
And he said that basically the billionaires got caught out there. They essentially got caught over-charging billions so they can fill their pockets lol

I’m gonna ask him more later but he said yea… :ehh:

The conservatives like to own the libs, even though it's a self own.

Watching China to win is the same thing.

We can't win, so they should lose, dearly

Can't ban the open source software, obviously. The code as such will be freely available for anyone to tinker with. But providing a service or licenses in a commercial product is a different matter, even if based on open source. Such distribution can be blocked. Tiktok ban is a thing, you know?

how would they know? the tiktok ban is unconstitutional and the same justification can't be applied to deepseek.
