Boy stop..... You aint got sense enough to differentiate propaganda and status........ A blue blood program could've got the coach they wanted after firing Mac Brown.... .but Texas couldn't..... Charlie was like the fifth option.... and Texas' last option.... a so called blue blood program got turned down by the top 3 hottest coaches in the game....
shyt look funny in the light to me..... :win:

:usure: Who else was offered the job before Charlie? He was the Universities first option, the BMDs(some of them) had went all in on Saban, and because Mack had a couple that were loyal to him the entire process was interrupted by Mack who did NOT want Saban to succeed him. But please tell me these 5 other coaches that were supposedly in line in front of Charlie? We hired a consultant team that vetted people of interest and Charlie scored higher than everyone else.
:dahell: Why should Bedford been fired after last season? The defense was Really Good in 2014. We all know the issues in 2015 were because of playing freshmen, lack of upperclassmen talent, & injuries all in the Front 7. This season the run defense & pass-rushing has improved to satisfactory/solid levels, but the HUGE problem is the Secondary is playing HOT GARBAGE.

If Texas could just get the secondary to just play competent the rest of this season, UT could win 8-10 games this season.

I think our 2014 defense was statiscally one of our worst defenses ever if you look at the raw numbers. When you use adjusted stats based on opponents I think they were mediocre.

And its :russ: on multiple levels that these A&M guys are in here talking shyt. Ain't win shyt in the Big 12 and ain't winning shyt in the SEC:wow:. We'll see how that 100 year decision works out for y'all.:francis:

Stop it. FL has had the most house hold names in the NFL for the past 25 years. shyt two of them played for the Cowboys with Smith and Irvin:mjlol:

Texas puts out quantity. FL puts out quality.

My boy Rashard Robinson balling already for the Niners. He only a rookie and only played 1.5 years of college ball.

That FL talent is:wow:
Texas also puts out quality. As in arguably the best RB in the league the past 25 years as well as plenty of good QB's. Texas is not void of talent. Texas colleges have been void of quality x's and o's coaching. I'm not knocking FL like you're knocking Texas. But there is merit on being familiar with recruiting grounds. Just like Strong knows Florida and the SE, Herman knows Texas and the SW.

Texas may have talent, but not on FL level. C'mon do really want me to list them? I'm talking house hold names who people know even if they are not on a fan's team. Texas aint got that. Actually no state has the most as FL. The talent is ridiculous plain and simple.

Has nothing to do being familiar with recruiting grounds. You got plenty coaches not from FL picking up FL talent. Some of the kids just don't want to stay in FL and want to start right away like Lamar Jackson.

it was a solid hire at the time, im an advocate of giving college coaches 4 years but they have been poor this year. Cal is a shyt loss, program was 1-11 a few years you have to win that game as a ranked team. then losing by 3 scores to a decent Ok St team

i dont really see a shift in talent. the secondary is as bad as it was when he took over, and while early their '17 class doesnt look too exciting. Buechele has talent, doesnt seem to be ready. with OU being down this and Baylor having a scandal this was a year to gain ground, blew it

I don't know why nikkas dapped this post. I can tell this dude doesn't follow UT football closely just by reading this post.

Ok. I disagree with you on this. But believe what you will and back to the topic.

what points do you disagree with? im a Miami fan, but watch alot of Big 12 ball, im no expert on UT just pointing out what i see
I will say for one, it's too early to talk about recruiting class. A month before NSD, Texas was in the 40s IIRC. On NSD, Texas finished at number 9. Strong's has indeed done a great job at Texas is his ability to close well with recruits.

fair, some schools have diff philosophies. im still getting used to Richt loading up so early on the bulk of the class then focusing on the big boys. Coker and Shannon were ultimate last minute, Golden (sometimes stupidly) would offer fairly early

Seems Fenves doesn't want fire Strong unless he has to. If Strong wins 8 games, I think he keeps his job.
