He was under 500 three years in a row. It's one thing to fire someone who doesn't live up to Alabama expectations but Texas can be much better then what they were for three years in a row

They are the only team in that mediocre conference who recruits at a high level. They should win that conference most years and at the very least should be better then this

i agree, the style of play is a factor, but having other options is too....and i dont think you can dismiss the other schools like that so easily...tcu, a&m, and tech are still there....baylor is committed to football now, all they need is a coach, and they can potential be right back in the mix...and hearman leaving houston is the same story as the previous coaches leaving, and people thinking the school was gonna just fall off....it hasnt yet, and it wont...
Tech will likely never be the program that will be a consistent top winning program. TCU will be good as long as Patterson is there. He will never win most of the battles between top players with Texas and OU. But he will take some and get those that people don't want and coach then up. a&m will always be there. SEC school and historically the second best program in Texas. Baylor. The odds are not in their favor to reestablish great success.
