etc. I mean friend, if you're truley hiphop and appreciate hiphop music, you will look for it. But, if you arent, well i guess you'll have more critique with whats just in front of your eyes which is corporate sponsored demonic filth. You arent really hiphop.

Canibus, Jay Elec, Doom, the Roots, Pigeon John, Five Deez, and Moka Only aren't new by any stretch, though. I was still actively keeping up with hip-hop when the newest of these artists came out. I'm talking about really recent stuff.

I think you need to realize that it's the music elitists who are the negative people, Not the people who enjoy music for song and dance.
...and who are the modern elitists? The guys in their basements creating tracks and such for the love of the music

People who want to discard or discredit entire genres of music because the music doesn't fit their own standard.

Cause fuk you that's how you grass-eater.

Imagine my embarrassment when i couldn't tell you the name of some 15 year old. :rudy:

She's 26 :beli:

At this point it's not even about knowing the name of some "15 year old."

It's more about being informed about general pop culture.

You not knowing that her name is Jepsen points to the fact that you are clearly out of touch and irrelevant in the eyes of general society :manny:

You're basically a pariah :manny:

i guess i'm a hermit since i don't know this 26 year old's name, especially considering her importance in both my life and society in general.

give it another 2 weeks and no one will remember her name, i'm just ahead of the curve:smile:

How many years are we talking here in your demonic mind friend? When did you stop keeping up with new artists and become non-hiphop.

I'm talking about artists that came out in the last 5 years or so, my demonic friend. I was still listening actively up to the mid-2000s or so, which is when my enthusiasm really started to wane.

i feel that hip hop has always been immature junk food type of music, like pop or rock. the difference is that as people age they take everything way too seriously and music at its core is not supposed to be about being serious
not a bad point, tbf :ehh:

just a bunch of old motherfukkers complaining. Music is so fluid and popular trends are catered to kids. But the music you like are still around if your artist is around. Look how much hip hop has changed in the years it has been around. Started out as party music then conscious then gangsta to pop. Pick your genera and just live there.

What record company would dare lump Mick Jagger and Justin Bieber in the same category and throw them on a track together? Rolling Stones fans would start bombin' radio stations.

Does this guy not remember this:snoop:
