Oh I realize. Doesn't change the fact that if you think Alita Battle Angel is a better film you are a dumb ass. Her love interest is the worst thing about both movies. She looked stupid n her acting was corny especially when she was riding bytch seat on her dumb ass boyfriends one wheel motorcycle. They need to either write her out (not gonna happen), or totally re-imagine her. She is a terrible actress (in this). In trying to look tough she just looks ridiculous. Compare her to the rest of Star Force. All of them looked like seasoned warriors to a man, and woman, apart from Vers who was trying to act tuff while failing miserably.
Look at the poses she takes up in these scenes. Since was does being tough == clenched fist? Always... It is beyond a joke. Other actors show their steeliness by posture, stature, facial expression, tone of voice.
And it is not about aiming her weapons - else it would be held out like all the other armaments. See pic 4... It is because it is her free hand.

Gemma Chan showed ten times the sass, ten times the charisma, came across like a menacing warrior without any of the hackneyed physical theatrics. She displayed 10 times the personality and likeability with less than one tenth of the number of lines. All in the same film, with the same directors.
You know that she is a fresh recruit in the Kree army right? You know the rest of that team have been together for years and the only ONLY reason she is with them is because she has super powers and the Supreme intelligence put her with Yong Rogg (I don’t think I spelled his name right... fukk it I will say Jude Law) and his unit to keep a close eye and to brainwash and manipulate and control her. She was just a weapon to them. They never liked her, she never fit in with the team and that’s it. I mean I’m not trying to convince anyone of changing their minds on the movie but the blind hate cuz Fiege said she will be the most powerful hero we will see on screen is ridiculous. I don’t think the movie is flawless ( like when fury loses his eye and he just takes it on the chin and eats dinner and sings and does dishes like wtf) but Brie did a good job portraying a character fighting to find herself. Fiege should have shut his mouth and let the movie speak for itself because ever since that statement she has been scrutinized to the teeth! I mean, Thor had blonde eye brows! Captain America’s hair is fukking wig! They still look cool. And my opinion she not as powerful as Thor with his stormbreaker. Remember he made that statement before Ragnarok came out and before Thor got his new weapon. Thor took on the gauntlet and critically injured Thanos! If he would have aimed for the head, Thanos would be deader than disco (no cobra commander). She ain’t fukking with that: so relax. Like damn

man sometimes the internet is a cesspool of BS, I wasn't feeling the trailers and found that her acting was stiff but it worked in this movie. My girl and I enjoyed it had some good laugh just a good marvel movie.
The fact that there is so much hate for it and yet on track to do a billi makes it even better

You posting a bunch of OPINIONS doesn't make it true. You didn't like the movie. OK. Doesn't mean it was trash.
I've seen it three times now and I really love it. And yeah, I'm a female. But honestly, if you had been watching a lifetime of movies with Captain Marvel and Black Widow, and finally got the first Thor movie, you'd probably be loving it too. Even if it's mediocre because damn, you'd be so sick of seeing women superheroes. But I understand, it's hard to put yourself in other people's shoes when you're so used to seeing yourself or people like yourself as the lead. This movie was not terrible, and the lack of a sharp drop off and up tick in its fandom online is evidence of that.
