They need to either write her out (not gonna happen), or totally re-imagine her. She is a terrible actress (in this). In trying to look tough she just looks ridiculous. Compare her to the rest of Star Force. All of them looked like seasoned warriors to a man, and woman, apart from Vers who was trying to act tuff while failing miserably.

Look at the poses she takes up in these scenes. Since was does being tough == clenched fist? Always... It is beyond a joke. Other actors show their steeliness by posture, stature, facial expression, tone of voice.

And it is not about aiming her weapons - else it would be held out like all the other armaments. See pic 4... It is because it is her free hand.
