she's supposed to have a chip on her shoulder - but its not earned or defended well at any point in the movie
little stuff you'd like think a lifetime a memories would change her character but the most you see out of her is a trash "are we the baddies?
" scene
the arrogance is never justified even once. from the beginning when she's flexing on security to the end where she's talking down to her squad. before she gets her powers she is a walking L who by all accounts including her own simply sticks around until she wins. but patience is not the theme here. its i get what i want even when i didn't do shyt, and then i talk shyt regardless of how things came to be
and tell me how black widow's first scene doing a little backflip in the hallway is better shot than any non-cg fight in this movie
and to top it off, this is some of the worst set interaction out of any marvel movie. every ship may as well be three hallways. there's a dynamic shot to start the movie off with the first battle but then they decide to make the scene pure laser tag and drop the idea of perspective. i'm not sure if there was an issue moving from storyboard to film or what, but its jarringly bad. and because brie is forced to run everywhere, each transition from one point to the next is done more bland than a western or something (that pathetic parkour cut my god lmao). and this writing.... people were openly laughing in my theater with how bad it was. "i just never liked you"
"me neither biiiiitch". its one thing to have an unlikeable character - and danvers is. she's a bytch whether you like her or not. that's a hard line to walk... but that's not what brie is. she's downright uncomfortable. and its not all her fault, its the writing too. fake as fukk like the recent white college grad who doesn't know shyt about their job but wants everyone to take them seriously.
i'll rap. i'm not about the baseless hate if shyt is trash i'll follow up.
