Peter is a Tony fanboy because theyre both geniuses and likes Stark for his engineering advancements besides the ironman suit, which the showed in Peters apartment scene so I think Tony knew and went to him first

you can see how inspired Cap was in Peter Parker as once they fought more Cap saw the huge flaws in the way Peter fights and his inexperience but at one point he was smiling almost as if he was proud of something especially when Peter was lifting that container and asked what part of New York Peter's from

That was one of my favorite parts.

Don't you like most of the X-Men movies though? At least these Cap movies are consistent with their themes throughout. X-Men flicks have been all over the place.
