So you'd cut out the part that is the sole reason the mob turns to the joker and why the joker was detained and a key element of one of the movies themes?

what do you mean 'sole reason', that's just how they wrote it.

i just thought it was ridiculous.

Someone told me before that Chris Evans is leaving MCU after this movie.

Is this true?

If so....
Is Cap gonna die and Bucky take his place? :jbhmm:

He's contracted for 2 more Avengers movies, but said if Marvel still wants him he's down to do it. So it's up to Marvel really.

It's not ridiculous. within the plot it makes perfect sense. Joker is stealing from the mob to get their attention. It happens. They end up turning to him and paying him because they can't be sure their accountant won't squeal. How is that ridiculous homie?

And of course Hong Kong won't extradite one of their own so Gotham can't file a normal governmental request which is why batman goes to get him which reinforces the theme of them going outside of the law to get things done which ties back into the war on terror allegory

how long would you say the movie dedicates to this subplot, 10-15 minutes?

what do those 10-15 minutes accomplish? what do we learn? why are we wasting time in hong kong?
