Well you know he's only showing up now because people been really vocal about BP and Marvel/Disney disconnect by saying they don't know how to depict Wakanda. While they have no problems with Asgard and Guardians of the Galaxy world. I am sure lots of it was done by Marvel's CEO Ike Perlmutter, he's been known to be that way. If Feigie was still reporting to him, I am sure those movies wouldn't be coming out that soon.

I think they were just playing coy when they said that about Wakanda. They planned to make BP the entire time. It just wasn't time to let the public know that.
For example, when C. Boseman was promoting that another movie someone asked him about BP he verbally said he didn't know anything but he kind of gave it away with his expressionbody language.
Like I think Captain Marvel is cast already, they just aren't telling the public yet.
