I'm at this point. There have a limited window to introduce Spider-Man even if a deal is made, and while we all know who he is, he's obviously had zero presence in the MCU. So him randomly popping up and picking a side won't have much weight without a proper introduction at the very least.
Also Black Panther is meant to be the neutral guy in this version of Civil War....so does that change if they get Spider-Man?
Fred.
Seriously, I don't understand why Sony wouldn't take the deal with them keeping creative control, marketing and distribution rights.marvel was desperate to continue feeding us before sony slapped the tray from our hands

Marvel been known to have different scripts for the same movie wouldn't be surprised if they had one with Spidey includedI'm at this point. Yeah but homie from Latino Review makes some good points in how to circumvent that: Put Andrew Garfield in the Avengers reshoots in a scene and you plant the seed. From the sounds of it though, this is going to happen, just a matter of when
I remember I made a thread about this months ago same with black panther cast I was greeted with hostility if when I guarantee it. I was also right about will playing deadshot but I cant call itYeah but homie from Latino Review makes some good points in how to circumvent that: Put Andrew Garfield in the Avengers reshoots in a scene and you plant the seed. They're running out of time though. The reshoots are next month, right? As of right now they don't have Spider-Man.
It's possible to shoehorn him into a future movie but for such a pivotal character in the Civil War arc you need to establish him as important. Not to us, I mean to the characters.
And if they can't do that properly, I'd rather they not use him.
Fred.
I agree. But guys who get paid a lot more money than I do have to make those decisions, so that's on them.It wouldn't be unlike them to do it though. Any opportunity to make more money is an opportunity any studio will jump at
The leaked emails show that anyone in this thread is as qualified as the Sony execs to make that call. Only difference between us and them is a large, undeserved paycheque.
I wouldn't go that far man, this kidna stuff happens at studios everywhere, they just so happen to be the unlucky people getting their dirty laundry aired out in public. But we can't be to naive to think that it doesn't happen at any other studio in hollywood. We just don't get to hear about their bad decisions or bad ideas because no one is hacking them. But based on the leaks, it's just a matter of time before Sony and Marvel are sharing spider-man
If Jon Peters can go from Barbara Streisand's hair-stylist to a producer on Superman flicks tho...
I think this may force their hand in the Spidey Marvel deal, just because fan reaction will eventually make the feel cornered.
