Not really trying to read through the whole thread, but thinking about taking my daughter to see it. Is it Winter Soldier level, or should i temper my expectations? The last marvel joint i saw was Antman and it was only ok

Just came from seeing it and I don't understand where the hate is coming from. I give that movie a 7/10. It was fun to see them tease Red Hulk's appearance and Sam was dope as Captain America.

Mackie is just such a loser to me. This movie would've worked better with a few other people, but even then it would've been a B-. As is, C- D+

The cgi background in the cherry blossom scene was pretty abhorrent. It's the most important place to the president but it's just a fukking parking lot with N64 graphic level cherry blossoms. These people don't even fukkin try I swear.


But, the rest of the movie was just kinda there like shang chi or black widow.

Good movie. A return to form for marvel. It wasn’t on the level of the top tier marvel movies but it was better then what we been getting the past 5 years

This is the worst Cinemascore for an MCU movie.

It revolved around Ross more than Sam, it was decent but they could’ve just dropped this on Disney+ honestly, 6 out of 10

This was my main problem...

There's a good movie in here somewhere hidden behind "I'm getting too old for this shyt" Ford doing a horrible rendition of William Hurt's 'Ross', repeating same tired ass "I can't fill Cap's shoes cuz I'm black & not a super soldier" trope as the Disney + show, and not giving enough screen time to Mackey, Giancarlo or Tim.

I don't know what they can do to get fresh eyes but this ain't it. We've seen the same Hulk/beast gets subdued by love over & over in the MCU at this point. We've seen the sidekick get blown out of the sky and bought to near death. We've seen the Captain can't trust the govt inner circle. Like damn, do something else.

That being said, I was still entertained for the most part. Especially on the Dolby joint.
