I heard this was not bad just mid
It's absolutely mid

It's not Sony Marvel bad but it's sub standard compared to what we've seen before and considering we're supposed to be ramping up to X-Men soon I'm super surprised that while Adamantium was mentioned, there was ZERO mention or discussion of mutants in this movie, which leads me to believe the "two worlds collide and merge" theory will occur when Secret Wars is all said and done.

this is a really bad movie. i can write a novel about it. ... i might.

it's just so obviously hacked to shyt like almost everything else marvel does now, and they hung Mackie out to dry. worst directed, and if it even qualifies, worst written marvel movie to date. seriously. they basically made a movie to
introduce the world to adamantium, and the shyt wasn't even as entertaining as Andy Serkis trying to steal vibranium.

a straight sequel to
a tv show that was butchered, minus the other main character, and one of the bottom 3 MCU movies in Incredible Hulk... plus a little of the terrible Eternals sprinkled in for good measure.

this is gonna flop hard moving forward.

i wanna say there were plenty of elements that could have made for a good movie, but i'm not positive they ever had a good movie. they were high on their own supply when they greenlit this. could have easily just been Falcon season 2. This was, "We have Winter Soldier" at home. i actually think the Russos could've made a pretty solid movie out of this, but the dude who directed this was awful. this movie looks like shyt. everything felt like 60% of Winter Soldier at all times.

The Leader had potential to be a decent Zemo knockoff, but they botched it

and for fukk sake, let Sam fukk. let the man get some p*ssy. poor guy.

honestly i can pick this apart all day. i've never felt bad for a MCU movie. i felt bad for this. i wanted so badly to think it was good. if they didn't pay what i'm assuming is like $30 mil to get Harrison Ford in this, it may have been Batgirl'd... and speaking of Ross:

5 minutes of Red Hulk, and he does nothing different than Banner Hulk. he is red hot i guess and lights one car on fire, but fights exactly like him. couldn't even give him more distinguising attributes.

solid Hulk action i guess, Sam is a fine Cap but needs a co-star. New Falcon is whatever. Israeli girl
was so clearly reshot to be a Widow, it was comedy. she looks like a legit midget
Giancarlo Esposito
LOL fukkin bootleg Crossbones at best. so obvious. "He should be Magneto or Professor X!" nah, here, he's reshot Seth Rollins in Falcon Season 2 on the big screen.

Cap's Wakandan Falcon tech is awesome. that is the highlight of the movie, but it's so poorly directed that you don't even get to really enjoy it most of the time. Honestly, Redwing is by far the best "character" in the movie.

it's boring for most of the movie and ultimately utterly pointless. i think it's the most boring, worst directed and worst written MCU movie... and all that said, it's still probably "better" than about 7 of them.

I’m batting almost 1.000 on which movies I skip in the theaters.

And everything you said makes me feel like the streak continues. I’ll catch it at home.

I’m basically there with thunderbolts too

I fully expect thunderbolts to suck now, bc it's tying up loose ends to shytty movies like this one was. Shoulda all been 1 movie. F4 will be the real reset

That bad eh? Will be interesting to see the numbers it does.

Personally I just can't buy Anthony Mackie as a lead hero. His energy is a kinda sus to me.

That’s the next one I planned on going to see in theaters.

I didn’t even go to see Deadpool. I enjoyed it at home but woulda been disappointed in the theaters, primarily because of how they (mis)marketed it.

Good thing I got a free ticket for my birthday, because I want a refund.

I don't know where to start, but Mackie got handed a turd and wasn't good enough to overcome it. Ford was good before they CGI'ed him

That israeli agent was annoying to look at
Like she is a midget, but she's not?:dahell:
I legit had to pull out my phone to look her up DURING THE MOVIE it was fukking with my head so much! :dead:

Like when they got out of the jeep at the base and you got a full shot of her in the day light, I was like....."her arms are too long but her torso's too short, WHAT THE fukk IS UP WITH HER BODY?!!?!

And like some of the rest of y'all I saw that she had a disorder from her having cancer which "stunted her growth."

Each time she was on screen I just couldn't stop thinking, "is she a....giant midget?"

ps. The reshoots to put a jacket on her to cover up her jewish costume. :russ:

The movie isn't bad. It's a solid to good movie, no matter how many different movies are spliced into it. But at it's core, it's about Sam NOT being Steve, and how he navigates Steve's former position. It is a different type of superhero flick though

I've said elsewhere how people don't realize that Captain America is a political title as much as it is a superhero title. One of the many plot points...as shown in the trailer...is that Sam doesn't play with those rules....while still having to play the game.

I think this gains favor it hits streaming.
