I feel the same way coming out of it as I did with the majority of the MCU’s Disney+ entries. It’s baffling to feel that way after a binge, but even more-so for something that’s supposed to be theatrical.

They’re literally having dogfights around what, to me, was the most interesting thing the movie had to offer. I understand how a dog feels when they have a treat constantly waved in front of them, but never thrown to consume.

Not the worst MCU movie I’ve watched by a longshot, but it does come away feeling like a test screening for the majority of the runtime and I kept asking myself why the suits thought it would be okay to release something like this as a finished result. The fukkin’ audacity. I hate to see it for Mackie, who I still think could show out given the right creative team. Not sure what happened here.

Harrison Ford with that stache was jokes tho. :mjlol:

It's ok...a solid 6-7. It's noticeably at least different movies merged into one, and the reshoots are so obvious. They really should've gone with plot number 1 for the entire movie though

I see why they went with Ford as Ross. They definitely wanted that onscreen gravitas. Mackie is good, but if anything, this movie reiterates what I've been saying about Falcon as Cap, since it happened in the comics. He NEEDS his own identity/moniker. He's not Captain America and not Steve Rogers. He believes and fights for something completely different. He can keep the suit, but he needs a new name.

Falcon Jr didn't annoy me as much, but he's still a bad character. That time could've gone to Eli.

NOTICE how Disney have John Boyega’d another Black actor?

Getting a black man to play Captain America AFTER Chris Evans in MAGA America meant the character never had a chance. Then they double down and refuse to give the character powers. So now you have a WORSE version of the previous version,

The same BS they did with Iron girl.

Then they’re also bringing back Evans and RDJ:heh:

fukk DISNEY
Evans confirmed he ain't coming back and he don't want to

That last bit between Sam and Bucky had my audience erupt in laughter, for what felt like the first time ever during the screening. That popped out to me because the scene was near the end of the film. Was low-key hoping for a team-up at one point tho but knew that was too good to be true.

In my head I was shouting “Don’t leave” :mjcry:

It was only Bucky who showed up here yet I still came away from that moment feeling hopeful about Thunderbolts. Really looking forward to the cast dynamics in that one.

I thought BNW was more fun during the moments where it’s laxed and not going so hard to try to be Winter Soldier 2.0. I wasn’t feeling Falcon at first (DEF wasn’t feeling that Flabbicanes shirt :pacspit:), but he grew on me by the end. Again, I see the potential with a better writer/director tandem.

nah. thunderbolts* had issues too.

FF4 is the new management stuff.

DP3 is outside of mainline MCU productions.

:hubie:
Nah, all three of those projects have come after the overhaul. Yeun and Ayo backed out due to scheduling conflicts from the strikes, but other than that, Thunderbolts went smoothly production wise.
