Honestly, the MCU is just a moneymaking venture in Disney’s portfolio at this point and nothing else. They’re not interested in making good movies, they’re only interested in returns. Some of the entries struggled for "must watch" status even before the peak in Endgame. Every entry since has felt like mere fan service to some degree. Thor being the only original member of the "big three" left hasn't helped. The MCU's popularity was driven by people caring about the characters' stories. With most of those arcs now finished, it's really now just continuing for the sake of profits, not storytelling.

they switched up management about 2.x years ago to give creatives more power.

they delayed tons of already started productions - hence why so few releases in 2024.

they are still dealing with the end of the previous management's projects.

TYRONE GA!
Most MCU joints are mid at best even back to the infinity Saga

The good ones are seemingly outliers at this point and the Russos got 3 of em :francis:

Winter Soldier
Civil War
Infinity War

Other Certified great one is Black Panther

Feige gotta go. Iger gotta make the call. He doesn't need to oversee the mutants :yeshrug:

It confirmed to me that he should have stayed as Falcon. They could have done more with that instead of making him Captain America. He could literally be trying to fill his role without taking the name. They could have built up a whole mythos around the character and would have had more leeway too.
The MCU should’ve been building Falcon up to being a dope and interesting character. During his first appearance and before Cap retired. Same goes for Rhodey, those brothas are just afterthoughts smh. Not saying that they deserved movies. But at least show them being more charismatic, competent, and badass.

Its fine:yeshrug:
Mackie was great:obama:
Harrison Ford was good
No one embarrassed themselves

It shouldn't have been a Hulk sequel without the Hulk. If he can show up in She-Hulk tv show, Bruce should have showed up in this.

The black female Secret Service agent should have been a Wakandan or Widow instead of the little Russian security woman.

It probably needed a few more setup scenes with General Ross and Sterns.

We probably needed a scene with on the Celestial just to build up Adamantium.

When they announced this I thought they were going to pad this movie with a bunch of heroes/villains and to take the focus off of Mackie but he's the star of this movie.:salute:

Like Sam said in the movie, he should take the serum:heh:

You are missing the point...from an aesthetic

MCU shoved it down the audience's throats

it's the sideman nature of what is being verbalised.

it reinforces his sideman, weak and weaker status.

they never did the same thing with the other humans on the team.

widow has been doing so much people think she might indeed have powers.

meanwhile human rumalow beat the hell out of falcon ..

sideman:

"i just do everything that he does except slower"

"if you guys eat" ("guys" including human black widow)

"when people start shooting at you they start shooting at me [because this sideman is always at your side]"

"what do the bad guys look like (boss)?"

(on your left) "aha" **gets overtaken with ease**

(on your left) "don't you do it" **gets overtaken with ease**

"i need a new set of lungs"

"make me look good in front of some girl"

"when do we start (boss)"

"don't tell cap that tic-tac beat me"

etc

only once did falcon assert himself as an independent main man: "that's a nice tie and i'd hate to mess it up".

the audience has associated bucky, Steve as super solders for years...and compared to Falcon they always came across as better "super heroes"

It's a tall order to put a black man as lead in this type of movie when he was always the b character in the past movies

you saw what the super-soldiers did in the hallway in bucharest. and what they did to iron man.

ant man film: "you only beat the falcon"

falcon: i'm sorry. iron man: **repulsor him out with 1 blast without even looking**

MCU got a beta actor, built him up as a side-man for years and then tried to change that.
