NOTICE how Disney have John Boyega’d another Black actor?

Getting a black man to play Captain America AFTER Chris Evans in MAGA America meant the character never had a chance. Then they double down and refuse to give the character powers. So now you have a WORSE version of the previous version,

The same BS they did with Iron girl.

Then they’re also bringing back Evans and RDJ:heh:

fukk DISNEY
Also peep how the only two projects that have had the most trouble this phase are films with Black leads. DP3, Thunderbolts, F4 every other film went from greenlight to production to completion without a hitch.

So? He has a power thats unique to him and makes him more powerful than a normal human. Thats all you need for superhero movie.

Being more and more OP doesn't make the movie better. Nobody complains the Steve Rogers isn't as Strong as Captain Marvel. Because her movies are trash and her character is boring powers or not.

This dude has his own identity. They should focus on making a great story around that. Not making him more like steve rogers.

I get where some people are coming from on this angle. The lack of super-soldier serum was too much of a key aspect of this movie when it really didn't have to be. This is why so many people seem stuck on the issue. The movie did it to themselves. This is where I feel they fumbled Sam in the movies. They should have brought in his ability to talk to birds and even use them as surveillance or give it a technological aspect and really lean into his techno-expert background the way they did in the Ultimate universe. For example, having him show more understanding for the pills would have been a small but clever way to show him being more than a good fighter, which he needs to be. Essentially a blend of both 616 and ultimate universe Falcon. Already, with this new latino Falcon (I shall call him El Falcono), it seems like they are going to do this with him, eventually making him into a superior version of whatever we have now. It feels like we are getting a wholly inferior version of Sam when we know he could be superior since better versions exist. They have the tools before them but aren't using them for the right person. It's frustrating. Given how shytty Disney tends to be with black male characters, one begins to wonder and feel annoyed with it all.

They didn't really do anything to make Sam stand out other than not having super-soldier serum and some wings, which the new latino Falcon, El Falcono, has now.

Exactly, i keep saying the same thing. His jet pack and wing = super soldier serum. He doesn't need to be able to run 40 mph when he can fly faster than sound.

You are missing the point...from an aesthetic the audience has associated bucky, Steve as super solders for years...and compared to Falcon they always came across as better "super heroes"

It's a tall order to put a black man as lead in this type of movie when he was always the b character in the past movies

i see where you're coming from with this take.
I had a similar complaint, but my answer was always that they never should have made falcon a cap clone.
I like him better as falcon. Thats his own original character. Now people mad because he isn't a copycat of steve rogers.
Thats the problem. Not that he is missing soldier serum. But that they erased his originality trying to "upgrade" him.
Steve Rogers will always be everyone's favorite captain because he is the original. They like him better than Captain Britian, Captain Marvel, US Agent, Sam Captain America. None of them will ever take the mantel. Pointless to make direct comparisons.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Honestly, the MCU is just a moneymaking venture in Disney’s portfolio at this point and nothing else. They’re not interested in making good movies, they’re only interested in returns. Some of the entries struggled for "must watch" status even before the peak in Endgame. Every entry since has felt like mere fan service to some degree. Thor being the only original member of the "big three" left hasn't helped. The MCU's popularity was driven by people caring about the characters' stories. With most of those arcs now finished, it's really now just continuing for the sake of profits, not storytelling.

Seems the consensus is Mackie is good in it, but feels like a Hulk movie instead of a captain america movie. Dont tell me all the reshoots and shyt was to lessen Mackie's screentime. How they gonna do nikka bird* like that :francis:

*My frames per second/death end fans will get that reference :mjlol:

:yeshrug:Even without super powers Falcon still could’ve been a dope character. Like most high tech non super powered characters in comic book media. The MCU just failed to make most of their non super powered characters cool.
It confirmed to me that he should have stayed as Falcon. They could have done more with that instead of making him Captain America. He could literally be trying to fill his role without taking the name. They could have built up a whole mythos around the character and would have had more leeway too.

nah. thunderbolts* had issues too.

FF4 is the new management stuff.

DP3 is outside of mainline MCU productions.
