And they’d now have more resources to wage war or gain influence on the continent. So, it’s not a clear cut issue eventhough the African tribes should’ve known better. Also, white people turned right back around and colonized (almost) the entirety of Africa. So all of those slave catching tribes who thought they were exempt from the white man’s treachery got dealt with anyway. That’s what happens with you deal with the devil.
