I get what you’re saying and I’ve had alot of conversations abroad with 1st-2nd gen Africans that are confused about why Americans don’t feel any sense of identity with their origin nations but yall have to realize the hand that was dealt to us. It didn’t seem to matter during those times where you came from, you were either protected from the trade by your family status or whatever or you were cattle. And this is how out own “brothers and sisters” looked at us. So no, there’s not a real strong desire for alot of AAs to assume their African identity or participate in the diaspora.

You can check my post history prior to last year, I didnt mind at first and even defended the diaspora concept as the ADOS movement started to catch fire until I actually heard one of those cocky 2nd gen Africans brag about how they were inherently better because their family wasnt slaves.
