A lot of problems with cars have common solutions. We could all help each other out…I know this isn’t necessarily the site for that but a lot of us prob have/had same cars that we’ve had to get fixed. Then again, I wouldn’t want someone to try something and fukk their car up

With that said a lot of ppl don’t understand that when you take your car to a shop, sometimes you may pay for a repair that doesn’t fix your car but it doesn’t mean the shop is trying to get over on you (sometimes).

I just saved somebody about 800 this morning in labor cost. shyt took me about 1hr (maybe less) to do). Fuse block on bcm and oil control solenoid

If a breh posted about problems that they’ve had with a car that I’ve done work on in the past, I would be more than happy to share my knowledge if I’ve fixed said car previously.

The only reason it takes longer than 15 minutes is when you hit the " what happened? Wtf?" And start blaming the city, and God, stressing about not making it home on time or to work, or missing the movie or whatever. Or if its raining or snowing.

Really if you've had to ever change a tire more than twice in your life, you should already be mentally prepared.

It should take about 3 mins to get the stuff out the trunk. 1 minute to break all the lugs. 3 minutes to jack up the car. 3 mins to remove the old wheel and put the new wheel on. 1 min to tight the lugs. 1 min to lower the car, 1 min to final tight the lugs, 2 mins to put the shyt back.

I made sure all the women in my life have one of these in their car and showed them how to use it.

Having AAA or roadside assistance is nice but they take fukken forever to get to you. Sometimes it's just easier and quicker to help yourself.

You are not changing a tire—-including removal AND putting on the spare—-in 10 minutes. Period. Not outside of a professional shop with pro tools. Most people have the old school set and that alone makes it take some modest time regardless of however ‘mechanically inclined’ you think you are. If you said 20 that’s perfectly doable but 10 now you goin OD


And it’s exactly why I say most car stuff revolves around a machismo ideal. You feel inclined to say ‘I can do it in 10 minutes ‘
