"One More Time" is one of my favorite songs ever.

Plus their mask gimmick reminds me of the Breen from Star Trek :pachaha:

If you’ve ever been to a sporting event there is a GIGANTIC chance you’ve heard One More Time. One of the first groups to integrate original anime content across a “universe” of videos. Check out the song and vid, well worth the 7 minutes of song.
Yeah I recognize this one. What else do you recommend? Also, are there any current artists that remind you of daft punk?

No one has really carried the French Dance Funk quite like Daft Punk. There’s been a couple of whack imitators.

Robot Rock was featured in Iron Man 2 btw
Fresh
Technologic which Kanye sampled
Around the World
Lose yourself to dance

Love them but they stole or were “heavily influenced” by a lesser known artist. As a matter of fact they sampled,
borrowed (whitesplaining stole) a lot of music from Black artists from the 60s/70s that had faded into obscurity.

Andre Lewis aka Mandré The Masked Marauder

A big fan of their music but ,imo, they need to be a lot more vocal in honoring the Black artists they can attribute their success to.
Great post.

They do wear their influences on their sleeves though.

In fact on Homework there is a track called "Teachers" where all their influences get a shout out.
From the few interviews of them there are around they always paid hommage to the greats who paved the way and all their music is inspired by the 70's and disco/black artists, their sample choices make that clear. They chose to remain out of the celebrity game though so I cannot fault them for that if people are that stupidly ignorant of the facts.

I saw them at Coachella earlier this year. Amazing set. Their album is fire

Also saw these dudes there too. Think it was right after Justice . Set was
:banderas:

That previous thread exposing them awhile back turned me off to Daft Punk for the most part. Even though I'm a big EDM head , there's plenty of artists in the genre now doing work that's comparable to them .

Though I still like their work with The Weeknd

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
When Human After All was first released, I remember feeling quite disappointed and expressing my discontent on various forums that I posted on at the time. It just didn't have the same sound as Homework or Discovery. However, a couple of years later, I decided to give the CD (R.I.P.) another spin in the player (R.I.P.), and to my surprise, I found myself really enjoying it. It's their most underrated album, in my opinion. Reflecting back, I'm a bit embarrassed by my initial harsh reviews, but I have to admit it was quite amusing to revisit my old forum posts, now thankfully defunct. While "Technologic" is obviously the most well-known song from the album, considering Busta Rhymes, Nicki Minaj, and will.i.am have all sampled it in their own tracks, I also liked how "Robot Rock" was utilized in Iron Man 2. It's really one of those great album comeback stories.

album was crazy.....heard they're done now tho :mjcry:

this shyt so tuff :blessed:

Yeah they’re retired now, they been in the game like 35 years. It ain’t nothing else for them to do, the main reason I think they retired is because they’re both perfectionist and they couldnt agree on anything so they called it quits
