I don’t remember anybody giving a damn about Mike pence. But Kamala gets bombarded with all types of hate and incompetence. I wonder why. :hubie:

If you're honest

Mike was seen as the competent one.. the one who validated scum bag Trump,

That's why

Maybe you didnt know that.

But Kamala hasn't proven to validate Biden, or make the ex branch more likable among brown and black folk or... be the progressive... or rep the younger voters.. or validate his senile mind.

So that's probably the reason

Her problem is that she's a mixed race woman.

Really? If you get off the Internet, Black folks weren't really sweating her mixed ancestry much more than Barack's. The problem is unlike Barack she has tried to portray herself as something else than a Black woman. This gains you little outside the Black community (they still see you as Black mostly) but weakens you in the Black community (which feels some slight). I am fine with her talking about her mom and her immigrant ancestry but politically, acting like you can play some "New Black" on the national stage of half-MAGA America is at best shortsighted and at worst solipsistic.

She has a great resume of accomplishments, she knows the institutions from local to the national level, she has a progressive voting record as a senator, and she respects the rule of law.

Personal accomplishments, yes. Signature legislation and initiatives, grassroots support, no. It's easy to be impassioned and outspoken from the opposition which the Senate has been since 2012. The clownish stonewalling of the GOP hands out a lot of halos that may not have been as easy in normal times.

Also stop acting like her AG record in Cali does not exist. I have never seen a non-GOP Black politician so many Black people in her own state don't fukk with her.

Mike was a weirdo that couldn’t be alone in a room with other women. A laughing stock. Doing anything trump did. Goofy chit like moving his cup like trump did.

Don’t try to fancy him up now.

True...
But not within the first 200 days. All that came later for the general population. Especially for the white gop base. Trump was accepted by non rednecks cuz of pence.

Kamala was supposed to help in all the areas I just mentioned. Even my own sister and a bunch of people I know (despite me saying it was some sambo shyt) voted for Biden "because of Kamala " or because she would be "up next" if Biden old senile ass died.

I don’t know why you going to bat for Mike pence but do you.

I’m just saying it’s weird how a lot of the Democratic coalition that defend Biden at every turn, but ain’t got nothing but negativity towards Kamala. :hubie:

I'm by no means a Pence fan but he was ahead of the game on that "no single dinners with females" thing. Lots of dudes higher up are playing by the same rules, don't put yourself in a he said-she said situation in the cancel culture era.

Ironically this is internet babble.:mjlol:

The point remains that she wasn't viewed as electable as president as a black/mix raced woman.

Black people flocked to Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton despite all the crime bill hill and crime bill Joe rhetoric.

If you mean her being mixed was a problem with wider society, you have a point but I thought you were implying Black folks wouldn't rock with her because she is mixed.

While I am not sure I would say they 'flocked' to Biden or Hillary at any greater rate than our propensity to vote Democrat in national elections would suggest, I state the only thing that had them going to Hillary and Biden is a halo effect of being associated with Bill Clinton and Barack who are viewed upon favorably by Black America.

Kamala had no big time name she was associated with and her actions in Cali were more direct than any legislation Biden did or 'super predator' term Hillary through out.

Are we saying they knew she was 'unelectable' but pumped her up from the beginning to a temporary front runner and then pulled the rug before Iowa/New Hampshire? Part of Kamala's problem is against another strong Democrat she was not guaranteed the Black vote. People need to stop trying to say she is Obama 2.0.

It's embarrassing that so many black people were trying to shame other black people into voting for her.

Attack people who tried to get Trump out of office and then big-up Mike Pence brehs. :francis:

Mike Pence was incompetent as fukk in Indiana, he probably wasn't even going to win reelection for governor before resigning to be Trump's VP. The only reason Trump picked him was because he was a non-swearing religious guy who made the "But Trump is such a foulmouth and doesn't go to church!" religious conservatives happy....and he had no political future so he didn't mind being connected to trump unlike some people who turned Trump down.

Just her electability in general.

I think if she won the nom she would have had similar support as other candidates just because of how often we vote dem.

Kamala had no big time name she was associated with and her actions in Cali were more direct than any legislation Biden did or 'super predator' term Hillary through out

When I lived in SF people really weren't talking about her at all. And her electability didn't take a hit when she moved on to run for AG and then Senate nor did it harm turnout as VP.

I think we tend to overstate things in that regard.

I dont think she's Obama anything. He's a GOAT tier politician and did things that other candidates couldn't do in NC and Florida.

I dont think she's a particularly great politician or awe inspiring, just to be clear. Just that her record isn't worse than other folks who end up elected.

But to answer your main question, I think people accepted that a white man could as the ideal person to beat Donald Trump.
