Kamala's problem on a national level has always been she doesn't have base of supporters to defend her. Progressives don't fukk with her and think she's not progressive enough, moderates don't really care about her, the right obviously hates her, and black people don't trust her and think she panders to black people to get ahead.

Her problem is that she's a mixed race woman.

She has a great resume of accomplishments, she knows the institutions from local to the national level, she has a progressive voting record as a senator, and she respects the rule of law.

On paper she seems ideal if you looked at her record over the last 10 years.

I completely agree. I think her natural peak as a career politician was somewhere around Secretary of State or AG. She sorta over shot the moon here as VP. I imagine after this she will sell some books and do speaking tours and enjoy a good life as a glass ceiling breaker.

Very impressed with her. People dismissing international diplomatic relationship building for these preposterous reasons is just laughable.

She was the right choice for VP. She drove the vote, and has an incredible track record over the past decade or so. People want her to be someone she's never been. Her success has come from playing things straight and sticking to a certain core of beliefs that have been rooted in the rule of law and policy. That's exactly what any solid VP should possess, and she has displayed that countlessly, now and prior to even being on the ticket. She's doing the job the way it should be done. It's not about politicians being rockstars. They should be playing the game via policy. Currently, no one does that better than her.
