Bruce Wayne has been portrayed as both Keaton's and Bale's versions in past comics. He's been both a dark secluded Bruce and also a self-entitled, spoiled playboy. I don't know why people are blaming the actors for not having enough depth when it was the director and script's vision in the first place. You guys really think it was Bale's call to make that voice :dahell:?

And if I had to choose, I'd pick Bale's Bruce Wayne. I don't think Keaton's Bruce would work in Nolan's universe. You would look a bit too obvious if you weren't balling like Bale's Bruce in today's setting. He was perfect for how the '89 film was. It mostly comes down to how the characters were written, not so much the actors. Unless they just suck in general :manny:

I didn't wanna it to come off like I was sayin Christian Bale was a hack. That's not what I'm sayin. Christian Bale is a beast. And just because I wasn't a huge fan of his performance overall it doesn't mean I hated everything he did.

It's not about blame. You win as a team and you fail as a team. Christian Bale is a superstar talent so maybe there's other reasons why he couldn't elevate these films with his performance. Maybe it's cause he wasn't given the right tools. Who knows. :manny:

For one thing I know it must have been tough for Bale to have to balance that tonal inconsistency with the writing and direction. On one hand you have a director telling you to play it straight like it's real and then you look down at the script and it has you talkin all shakespearean and shyt... talmbout "I seek the means to fight injustice. To turn fear against those who pray on the fearful..." :what:... how the hell is Bale ever gonna strike that balance and make it come off believable?

And that's really one of the biggest things I took away from Bale's performances in these movies. That he just looked lost out there a lot of the time. Like he was never quite comfortable living under the skin of this character.

Then again that is just one man's interpretation. I'm sure there are people out there who saw something completely different.

Keaton plays the calm, mature, reserved billionaire Bruce Wayne better.

Bale's Bruce is a jock, playboy billionaire.

Both did well IMO.

But, given that Bale's Batman gets ruined because of his ridiculous voice when in costume, I enjoyed Keaton's performance better overall. Although Bale's Batman movies are superior to Keaton's.

It should be interesting how Affleck plays this. I don't see him as Bruce Wayne, but then again, I didn't see Downey as Tony Stark but he nailed that role.

i think he should do fine, hes pretty much been Bruce Wayne since he was in his mid 20's (rich playboy type)....im more concerned about him as batman....

and on the subject, I like Bales Wayne the most. I put his batman second after Keaton, even with the voice (which I dont mind and wasnt even Bales fault for the most part...shyt was done in post production)

Bruce Wayne was supposed to be a rich playboy...
Nobody did it better than Bale...

That scene pulling up with the supermodels in the 2 seater with 2 models stacked on top of each other...
:sas1:

Bruce was not a playboy in those movies he was a trick and simp

showing up with two gold diggers acting a fool makes him a playboy

he didnt even smash until miranda tate had to lure him with the p*ssy

vicki vale was lusting for the nikka from the gate and he seduced at wayne manor, got her tipsy, took the draws, and alfred send her back to the crib with a derrick jeter gift basket

this nikka lost his bytch to harvey dent, a broke ass lawyer, and was ready to give up being batman for the mrs potato head looking bytch

He straight up told her this how it is you either rolling with it or hit the bricks, I got work to do
