I wish more people understood that from a public health standpoint, most of the metrics currently used to measure BMI, obesity, etc are based on extremely outdated info collected damn near 200 years ago with some "new" data based on white European male physiques during and after WWII.
A black woman who looks perfectly normal to you (lets say a non-famous Serena Williams type) would easily be categorized as at the very least "overweight" because of her hips, ass and muscle mass alone. By those same metrics Beyonce, Meg and Cardi B would also likely be considered overweight if not PRE-obese which is wild af.
