Aside from their general interference I think the mission now is to influence voting patterns for 2020.
There is a concerted effort at all levels of social media to get Trump another 4 years.
They don't want Trump's attempts to revolutionize ( read "save") America to be stopped in its tracks and they are going all out at all levels to do their bit.
Bloomberg is focusing on social media too with good results (for him) so far.
They know that opinions from (assumed) "peers" and (trusted) "influencers" are far more likely to gain traction than when voiced by some talking head / "elitist" / politician in 2020.

This is the same as "people's champion" Trump who since gaining power has been oddly silent about the Fed and has been remarkably silent about America's foreign escapades.
