The article and thread is literally about conservative and Republican women
-Did you even read the article breh? It's not limited to conservative & republican women & if you think this only hurts white women you're an idiot.

"House Republicans passed a bill (now stalled in the Senate) this session to require citizens to have a passport or birth certificate matching their name to vote. This would be a back-door ban on voting for any woman who took her husband's last name and doesn't have a passport, an estimated 69 million women."

"There has been growing support in Christian nationalist circles "for the repeal of the 19th Amendment and support a 'household vote' system in which men vote on behalf of their families."

"Similarly, there's been a slowly rising volume on the right of talk about banning no-fault divorce"

let's do this mathematically since i guess the axiomatic statement i made needs spelling out.

there are 322 million american citizens. 167 million are voting age. 13% are black women (22 million), 30% of the 22 million are married (6.6 million), 75% of married women keep their husband's last name so thats 4.95 million black women (to 39.4 million white women), of this number 68% of both are registered to vote -- or 3.4 million black women and 26.8 million white women.

so to sum up, 3.4 million eligible black women will be affected to 26.8 million white women (of which over 50% vote republican over the last 30 years)

if we factor in the numbers for not having a passport, the number drops to 14 million white women and 1.8 million black women.

no matter how you look at this, and even if i'm charitable disregard the semantic argument of "only", this affects MOSTLY white women; again, the same demographic that votes for republicans more than their counterparts

-I don't care about the mathematical breakdown. I don't support banning ANY Black women from voting or taking away their divorce rights & I don't give a fukk if it hurts white women more.
