Can anyone recommend other science fiction RPGs?

You can play it straight away - and I'd recommend it that way too. Shadowrun OG and Dragonfall are both solid games, but they aged harder than HK by a lot. They help color the world a bit better, but you can play any of the entries by themselves and do just fine.
:ehh: You know what, I'm about to cop it right now and try it today. Thanks

the combat is pretty goofy in FO4…2015 wasn’t THAT long ago

Are you using VATS often?

With the right perks you can walk in a room and split everybody’s wig before they even realize you’re there :wow:

I got about over 100 hours on Cyberpunk 2077 split between 3 builds and still not done. Practically zero bugs on PS5. Give it another try.

Pick Deus Ex Mankind Divided on Xbox. I bought it a couple weeks ago, damn good game. I just can't get 60fps on the PS5

not yet but it’s not the challenge I had an issue with…the way the character moves and the enemy AIs just feel clunky…but I guess that’s usually been my issue with RPG games…the combat usually feels lacking

It's nearly the same setting as Cyberpunk, just without the neon glitz and glamor. Gameplay is better. All the choices you make matter too.

If the developers make a sequel, which it sounds like, it'll definitely be the real deal Cyberpunk style game.

I can see VATS not working with a lot of folks. It ruins any kind of natural combat flow
It's so fire though.

Dismantling limbs in slow motion :noah:

Edit: plus FO4 is the actual game you can shoot in. I'd imagine he'd hate FO3 or NV more since you damn near can't shoot accurately in real time without high stats

Its cool at first

But like 10 hours into the game I'm like - why the hell is it so hard to just aim and shoot :dead: it feels like if you're not using VATS, you're hustling backwards. And its just stop and go gameplay if you lean into combat.

As is, its just a layer to coverup how jank the gameplay actually is.
