Timing your meals and snacks also works. Try to eat at the same time everyday and space your snacks appropriately so your body won't be in starvation mode a lot.

I have a strong suspicion that calories are very unreliable measurements. Different foods metabolize differently. One calorie of meat isn't equal to one calorie of doughnut. I was on Atkins and eating pretty normally besides cutting down on my carb intake (and not that disciplined either), and I shed a ton of weight.

A calorie is a calorie breh. I get what you're saying as far as if that calorie is giving you fuel or not but you can get fat eating 3500 calories of meat just like if it was all donuts.

eat protein, natural fats(like butter, nuts, cream cheese, coconut oil, red palm oil(great for eye vision because of betacarotenes and vitamin e) and veggies and tea/water/coke zero and you will be good. Fat and protein are very satiating. I only eat one meal a day and drink water/tea the rest of it.

no ketchup or sauce with sugar/carbs

just throw carbs/sugars/fast food/ in the bushes and dont drink your calories.

Upping for the folks trying to get right for the summer.
One day at a time.

Here's some motivation. This dude has motivated me for over a decade

Dude used to have an OG MySpace page. Anyway he was fat, flabby and sick. He started jumping rope, in addition to eating healthier. That's it. No pills or powders or gym equipment or books or memberships. Dude started being able to only do 5 mins a day, then 10 minutes a day, then 15-20 then mastered it.
