I really want to try this...

How big a part does diet play?:ohhh:

Honestly not a big part, you move so quick and often its a cardio exercise as well, cats who was doing shyt like this was eating pretty much whatever they wanted in the joint and was still shredded, I spoke about the diet in prison a few pages back

I've had lots of gym rats tell me that the best exercises you can do is pull ups dips and squats.

Yet every time I see them in the gym the are on the bench or doing some dumb bell work out.

I can count on one hand how many I see doing leg's dips or pull ups through out the week.

I'm no pro at all, but over all I hear people praise dips, pulls up and squats ALOT. There must be something to it...:patrice:

About to try OP.

Background: went from about 268 a year ago to 230 by just changing the diet and not being a piece of shyt about what I ate when I saw those numbers on the scale. Kind of just leveled out without really kicking my ass into gear. 6'2" and I probably carried my weight as good as possible for someone my size so when I saw that number on the scale it really scared the shyt out of me.

Now at 215, eating right, doing 40 minutes of cardio and lifting most days. Trying to actually get in shape now. Just did my 40 minutes on the bike now gonna try this. I'll edit this with my starting numbers

Exactly.

You ask anybody which exercises are best they will say calisthenics, but they would never only do a calisthenics workout:dahell:

I'm telling you calisthenics were king in the joint, yea alot if guys did the weights, but the calisthenics were if you could see if you had that functional strength.

nikkas benching 315,but can't do a pullup:childplease:

:heh: this shyt always floored me. Like a 315 bench is not functional at all for most people. 20 pullups>3 plates. those three plates aint gonna help you survive, fight, fukk, nothing lol. once I hit 225 I got up to like 265 bench at around 130 (only did that once but I did it:youngsabo:) and I was like whats the point, I damn near blew my back out on that shyt. I mean you hit 225 on bench you stronger than 99% of men anyway. anything after that is some man brag shyt. I've started to rethink my whole thought process on gyms and shyt in general. Like if I had a door I could put my pullup bar on here I would never step in antoher probs. I remember when I would do like hundreds of pushups a day before I got in the military. once I got into the gym I was already benching well above my bw. and that was off of nothing but pushups.

I'm more scared of the lean :demonic: nikka than the brock lesnar looking cat (brock is a freak though, you usually not that athletic that big)

That's how it was in the joint breh, nikkas lifting 405 but couldn't do a pullup and would die if they ran half a mile :russ:

Like what's the point?:yeshrug:

I rather be strong all around the board, and have long wind, instead of just being big and strong with no functional strength and no lungs.

That's why in the joint alot of guys just do Calisthenics and lift just to show how valuable calisthenics is.

As I said when I first got to the joint I couldn't bench 135 after a year of this workout straight I was hitting 225 like it wasn't shyt:wow:

I still lift weights but I'm slowly starting to get back to doing just straight calisthenics
