Those bodyweight exercises are almost all closed circuit kinetic chain exercises. Your muscles exercise all together at once against isolationism. Interesting stuff.

I couldn't careless if he won or not, he's in better shape and people that do calisthenics typically punch harder than weight lifters. There's a reason people into combat sports don't really fukk with heavy lifting. You're not going to enter weight lifting competitions, so who cares who is stronger, especially when there's always someone stronger. I'd rather look better than brag about being able to rep X amount of weight :russ: He's in better shape that's all that really matters, both are healthy so in the end that's what matters :yeshrug:



Boxers generally don't lift weights, power mostly comes from speed (Fast twitch) and torque. Generally speaking, if you're into heavy weight lifting like that your muscle fibers are shorter and tighter, you won't have the snap & speed that someone with long lean muscles would have. Boxing is more than 100 years old, if heavy weight lifting were beneficial to boxing you would have seen a Ronnie Coleman looking dude as world champ by now, it will never happen though. Roided out Bob Sapp used to get his ass lit up too.

The calisthenics dude had a shoulder injury they doing a rematch soon and he swears he's gonna win so we shall see.

The contest wasn't even fair had a breh who was trained by calisthenics lifting weights

Uneven playing field

I guarantee that powerlifting dude guy couldn't do even half of the typical calisthenics workout

Been watching this guy ever since this thread popped up. His starting point is pretty much mine, muscle wise. I'm taller than him tho.

He got here in a year

His 4 month results are good too. Imma stick to this :youngsabo:

But it's up to you far as frequency goes,is this the only workout you plan on doing?

dis is the true aesthetic look. obvs you workout, cut, functional, don't look like you on roids or live in the gym. very nice :ld:

Did 250 push-ups this morning. Didn't even recognize myself in the mirror from that damn pump I had :wow:

Btw I weigh 231.4 lbs so I ain't no little dude
