Ive done alot of research on calisthenics. And it it the the best way to develop real power (not strength) and speed lb for lb, nothing and i mean nothing will do what calisthenics does besides isometrics. The focus of using your own body and nothing else creates a strong mental/physical connection. Drop the weighted vests guys if any of you are using them.

Big secret: wanna be bruce lee powerful and fast, add isometric exercises!!!

Great info breh

I can't get with isometric. shyts always seem silly to me. I can't explain it. Like I've tried clasping my hands and pulling apart as far as I can and holding it. I'll start off like :birdman: and after 30 secs I'm like :mjlol: and I stop. I can't take them seriously enough.

Yea I saw cats in prison do it,it was ok I guess:yeshrug:

Then you arent doing it hard enough. Isometrics is about maximum muscle activation and tendon load which is done by time over effort. You cant bs with isometrics, thats why it seems silly. Try harder, actually your hardest...

so I'm thinking of throwing weights to the bushes except lower body excercises, and just do calisthenics

Wouldn't be a bad idea honestly:yeshrug:

But I still say do a mixture of both just to get the best of both world's,but I promise you from experience and seeing guys get brolic and crazy strong from just calisthenics, nothing wrong with just doing calisthenics:wow:

i haven't hit thee gym in like 4 months due to an injury playing soccer

what do you recommend easing into first

did you get as much muscle size doing strictly calisthenics than weights? I know calisthenics helps muscle endurance and stamina but what about size

O yea,I would recommend bodyweight exercises for sure, starting off with small number of reps and then slowly working your way up.

And doing calisthenics got me lean and ripped,so it gave the illusion of looking bigger than I was,but the weights put the majority of my bulk on,but I will say chinups and dips will help blow your biceps and triceps up big time
