Calisthenics is just as good as the weights

Most single people have 2 hours a day to commit to training... .and that's just during the week... you can do more on the weekend.....the time factor is important, but you can get in enough time easily, and the rest too.....

Dudes got all kinds of excuses,the rest 24 hours in a day I'm not trying to hear what they talking about

That's what it comes down to.

Dudes not gonna wanna do the rep ranges nor stay dedicated to it even tho I guarantee it will give you the same results as weights but better,because it won't kill your joints.

And that why I have the time limit and tell people to add more reps,so there is always a goal during the workout and you won't burn yourself out with it.
The timing part of it is very important. Helps to stay focused and gives you a clear cut goal for the next workout (do more in the same amount of time)

But now let me explain why if you take the time out and do Calisthenics it can be just as effective as weights, if not more effective.

For one the body only understands resistance, so no matter if your doing a push-up or benching the body won't know.

With that being said you can't master weights nor calisthenics.

There will always be an amount of weight you can't lift,and there will always be a number of Pushups or pullups you can't do within a certain amount of time.

Weights build muscle from the outside then the inside,calisthenics builds from the inside then out.

With calisthenics it does get boring because you do the same routines over and yes you can master it to an certain extent if you don't get creative.

With calisthenics a few methods that you can't master are:

Adding more weight,once bodyweight becomes easy get a book bag or a belt and add more weight,you can never master this because there will be a limit one day that you won't get past.

Add more reps,while cutting rest periods,this method is self explanatory.

Try it,but being incarcerated for 6 years,really showed me that calisthenics is just as good as weights,if not better.

I tend to agree.

Doesn't the military train mostly with calisthenics?

I used to do calisthenics in the morning before school, and then again for gym class 5x a week in high school

I was an animal even though I was skinny:wow:

Now Im gettin :flabbynsick:

Pullsups and chinups too damn hard :damn:

But I can do pushups easily once I do a 1 week routine to build myself up :ohhh:

My boy who is scared of the gym finally tried to workout with me. I tried to put him on this workout but he couldn't do a pull up or dips without machine assistance so I had to put the workout on hold :mjlol::mjlol:

What ever happened to @SkiHatDaGawd ? he is/was real big into calisthenics and also put up some very high numbers in lifting as well. He always swore by bodyweight stuff

We had a competition on here about who could do the most pullups straight and I won that it's over in the gym section with video of everyone competing, funny you didn't show up and post a video tho:stopitslime:
