I don't want them scrambling. I just don't want them to interview a bunch of people who aren't ready for the job and one of them knows how to bullshyt and gives a great interview, but isn't actually ready to lead the team. Then they hire that person just because of an interview. A lot of these names most people have never heard of or weren't even being discussed. If Johnson turns them down and they rolled out the red carpet for him then it is what is at that point. My next choice would be someone who is proven in the league because a lot of these guys aren't really doing it for me. I'd prefer Pete Carrol at that point. Rolling out all these people feels like a circus.

I'm fine with the wide net. You might catch something from other interviews you overlook, and you have some preliminary stuff if you want some of these candidates to be a possible coordinator.
Huh? So we're fine with the GM picking coordinators for the HC???
I wasn't trying to allude to that. Moreso vetting for issues or whatever. Assuming the HC wants any of these other people and should they be available.
Raking the field only helps them here since the goofy Poles autonomy got them in this hole. I'm a fan of them doing more rather than letting Poles asking Trace for a list. I think when we have that in scope I don't see a problem with them going further than expected.
These nikkas gon pick who they gon pick so I aint thinking too much about it
