I think almost universally Bears fans were questioning bringing back Flus as HC and had concerns about the trenches. Why wouldnt Poles be judged based off the performance of the team?People shytting on Poles now
NOBODY had a problem with his picks and moves this offseason. Just because they didnāt pan out the way people thought, now heās trash?
I don't think Poles was responsible for the coach. That was a McCaskey family special, but Poles is definitely responsible for theat shytty offensive line and that terrible offensive coordinator (Waldron) that he allowed uselessflu to hire.I think almost universally Bears fans were questioning bringing back Flus as HC and had concerns about the trenches. Id love to know how the decision to retain Flus went down ... if it was a Poles decision, based on how things played out, I dont see how its not fireable offense (esp compounded with the offensive line)I don't think Poles was responsible for the coach. Iām talking personnel. I didnāt see anyone complaining about his free agent signings or draft picks. I DO remember people being high on Waldron in this thread.I think almost universally Bears fans were questioning bringing back Flus as HC and had concerns about the trenches. No many of us had a huge problem with him not investing in the oline from here and the media people was super critical of the Roquan Smith trade and keeping eberflus I was calling for Ben Johnson since last seasonPeople shytting on Poles now

No way the bears can fukk this up Ben Johnson would have Caleb in the pro bowl in his rookie year Ben Johnson gotta be the number one choice even over Jim Harbaugh
Well itās over now I pray to god the bears hire Ben Johnson as head coach
This is what is going happen Caleb will show promise the defense will blow 2 historically bad leads and eberflus gets fired and Ben Johnson is the coach

I think there were plenty of questions about the trenches and how they would play out. Regardless of player personnel, hes responsible for the coaching staff and it was as disastrous as possible this season. Caleb will be on his 4th OC to start his second season. My biggest grip with Poles at the moment is the decision to retain Flus and it feels inexcusable assuming he made that callIām talking personnel. People were questioning the moves, just not at a level of complete ridicule and scrutiny.People shytting on Poles now

This is revisionist history at its finest.
This team isnt bad because of taking the qb its bad because the GM has constructed a incredible poor team. What makes u think this dumbass would make better picks with more of them
Poles' first significant move with the Bears was trading Pro Bowl linebacker Khalil Mack and his salary cap hit to the Los Angeles Chargers for a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft and a sixth-round pick in 2023.[7]
At the 2022 trade deadline, Poles traded linebacker Roquan Smith to the Baltimore Ravens for A. J. Klein, along with second and fifth-round picks in the 2023 NFL draft. Smith and the Bears were unable to negotiate a long-term contract extension prior to the trade.[8] Poles also traded the Bears' own 2023 second round pick (ultimately pick 32) to the Pittsburgh Steelers for wide receiver Chase Claypool. The Bears traded Claypool and a seventh-round pick to Miami for a 2025 sixth-round pick less than a year later.[9] The Bears finished the 2022 season with a league-worst (3ā14) record and secured the first overall pick in 2023 NFL draft.[1

look I know you want to be right about Fields but you just aren't, that ship has sailed and Fields just wasn't the answer and never was gonna be.
Caleb still has a chance to be very great here in Chicago. By year 3 I expect him to be a flat out beast, feel free to call me out about it if he's not.
