People shytting on Poles now :mjlol:

NOBODY had a problem with his picks and moves this offseason. Just because they didnā€™t pan out the way people thought, now heā€™s trash?

Caleb Williams is on pace to break the all time NFL record for most consecutive passes without an interception. Aaron Rodgers currently holds the record at over 400 consecutive passes. Williams already holds the rookie record, which previously belonged to Kyler Murray.

Whatever people think the problem is with the Bears , it is not the quarterback. Williams is not perfect, but he is not bad at all considering that he is only a rookie playing behind the worst line in the league.

I think almost universally Bears fans were questioning bringing back Flus as HC and had concerns about the trenches. Why wouldnt Poles be judged based off the performance of the team?

I don't think Poles was responsible for the coach. That was a McCaskey family special, but Poles is definitely responsible for theat shytty offensive line and that terrible offensive coordinator (Waldron) that he allowed uselessflu to hire.

Id love to know how the decision to retain Flus went down ... if it was a Poles decision, based on how things played out, I dont see how its not fireable offense (esp compounded with the offensive line)

Iā€™m talking personnel. I didnā€™t see anyone complaining about his free agent signings or draft picks. I DO remember people being high on Waldron in this thread.

No many of us had a huge problem with him not investing in the oline from here and the media people was super critical of the Roquan Smith trade and keeping eberflus I was calling for Ben Johnson since last season

No way the bears can fukk this up Ben Johnson would have Caleb in the pro bowl in his rookie year :banderas: Ben Johnson gotta be the number one choice even over Jim Harbaugh

Well itā€™s over now I pray to god the bears hire Ben Johnson as head coach

This is what is going happen Caleb will show promise the defense will blow 2 historically bad leads and eberflus gets fired and Ben Johnson is the coach

I think there were plenty of questions about the trenches and how they would play out. Regardless of player personnel, hes responsible for the coaching staff and it was as disastrous as possible this season. Caleb will be on his 4th OC to start his second season. My biggest grip with Poles at the moment is the decision to retain Flus and it feels inexcusable assuming he made that call

Poles has put himself into a corner, because any coach worth a damn prob wont want to work under him as a GM now

People were questioning the moves, just not at a level of complete ridicule and scrutiny.

People were getting at him picking a punter in the 4th round. I remember everything being looked at funny... Especially the lack of investment in the offensive line when camp started up and media could see how practices were going

This is revisionist history at its finest.

This team isnt bad because of taking the qb its bad because the GM has constructed a incredible poor team. What makes u think this dumbass would make better picks with more of them :mjlol:

I've been upset with Poles for a long time, it's what made me step away from the team.
If he gets fired, imo these should be the reasons for it. He completely dismantled the talent we had on defense and the team hasn't recovered from that since. So now not only does the offense suck, but the defense has too. Caleb may be his best draft pick, but he's not generational in this league. He still can be for the Bears but he will need a legitimate TEAM around him. I don't know if Poles has the eye to build a team like that. :hubie:

Poles' first significant move with the Bears was trading Pro Bowl linebacker Khalil Mack and his salary cap hit to the Los Angeles Chargers for a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft and a sixth-round pick in 2023.[7]

At the 2022 trade deadline, Poles traded linebacker Roquan Smith to the Baltimore Ravens for A. J. Klein, along with second and fifth-round picks in the 2023 NFL draft. Smith and the Bears were unable to negotiate a long-term contract extension prior to the trade.[8] Poles also traded the Bears' own 2023 second round pick (ultimately pick 32) to the Pittsburgh Steelers for wide receiver Chase Claypool. The Bears traded Claypool and a seventh-round pick to Miami for a 2025 sixth-round pick less than a year later.[9] The Bears finished the 2022 season with a league-worst (3ā€“14) record and secured the first overall pick in 2023 NFL draft.[1

He's about to get our Franchise QB killed lol

:dead: CALEB ABOUT TO GET
3 COACHES AND A GM
FIRED IN A THREE MONTH SPAN.

ATLEAST AIKMAN POINTED OUT
HES BEEN MISSING RECIEVERS
ALL SEASON LONG

look I know you want to be right about Fields but you just aren't, that ship has sailed and Fields just wasn't the answer and never was gonna be.
Caleb still has a chance to be very great here in Chicago. By year 3 I expect him to be a flat out beast, feel free to call me out about it if he's not.

CALEB WAS SUPPOSED TO BE
GENERATIONAL AND HE ISN'T.

HE MAY BE BETTER THAN JUSTIN
SOME DAY BUT HE ISNT RIGHT NOW
REGARDLESS OF ANY ROOKIE STATS
YOU WANNA PULL UP.

BEARS WOULD HAVE MADE THE
PLAYOFFS THIS SEASON PERIOD.

IT WAS STUPID TO DEVELOP
A QB FOR THREE YRS THEN DUMP HIM
AS SOON AS YOU GET SOME WEAPONS.

JUSTIN WOULD HAVE RUSHED
FOR 1K YRDS WITH THIS shytTY OLINE
WHILE COMPLETING HIS DEEP THROWS
TO THIS STACKED RECEIVING CORE.

CALEB WAS SOLD ON ACCURACY
AND HES ONE OF THE MOST INACCURATE QBS
IN THE LEAGUE.

WILL HE BECOME GREAT?
MOST LIKELY BUT THIS
WASNT THE TIME FOR A RESET
WITH ALL OF THESE PIECES IN PLACE.

IM GOING TO CONTINUE
TO ROOT FOR HIM BUT IM NOT
GONNA dikk SUCK AND ACT LIKE
HE HASNT BEEN ASS.

There were plenty of people shytting on Poles for some of his questionable decisions since heā€™s been here. With the high expectations and the way the season is going youā€™ll probably just notice it more.
