Yeah on paper his stats are "fine" if not outright good for a rookie but the eye test shows he is playing like booty for large stretches of games, then does some magical shyt for a quarter or so. then back to missing gimmes.

I think it can be resolved eventually because you can't make some of the throws he does and also not be able to hit the shyt he is missing.

but as of today yeah needs to be a lot better but nikkas calling him a bust and shyt gassing it, Josh Aleen first two seasons were ass, goff before mcvay, darnold whole career before vikes. coaching matters and only thing this is showing is that naw he aint as generational as we was lead to believe, but shyt who is :mjlol: Tlaw was posed to be football jesus

Caleb the rook but he the only one of the team not really throwing no one under the bus, keeping a good attitude and you can tell he wants it cuz he keeps getting back up and hes been destroyed. I can't see him failing long term unless the bears really are cursed.

I just hope they can land a good coach and gm because I'm out on Poles too, his team building strategy is ass now that we've had several seasons to observe it.

Good afternoon folks. Let's begin with the obvious. There is a shyt show happening at Halas Hall right now. No other way to put it.

Let's talk about Ryan Poles job security first. I'm going to stand by my reporting and once again repeat - he is safe. I've talked with folks around the league and inside Halas Hall and while Poles is making it known he is upset with the current structure, he is going to remain the Bears GM. With that being said, Poles is on a leash. A very short leash if I might add. He is going to be advocating for his job during coaching interviews. He's going to be pitching himself to the coaches as the coaches will be pitching themselves to leadership.

However, and this is an extremely strong however which I don't see happening, if the Bears primary HC candidate is uncomfortable working with Ryan, I expect them to fire Poles. I'm unsure how the optics of this would work is because you traditionally hire a GM first and let that GM pick their own HC. But I've been told that they will not hesitate firing Poles if it means being able to get the number one HC candidate on THEIR list. They would then hire a GM that aligns with their list and ordering. They will not let Ryan Poles prevent the Bears from getting the obvious first choice HC should someone clearly separate themselves from the group and does not want to work with Poles.

Next, sources inside the building have confirmed to me that Thomas Brown is no longer an option. They will still interview him but he is no longer a serious candidate.

Lastly, you will hear lots of things the next couple weeks and month about hiring a coach that will shift the culture and flip this organization upside down. Make no mistake about this. There will be an offensive-minded HC in Halas hall, known leader of not. I can confirm this that even if a non offensive-minded coach blows them away, if the gap between the non offensive-minded HC and offensive HC isn't large, they will still defer to an offensive-minded HC.

Caleb is the number one priority right now. And these last weeks have made that even more obvious. This leadership is not going to gamble on revolving doors at OC to develop what feels like for the first time ever, a franchise QB at Halas Hall. It will be an offensive HC or bust.

Looks like vrabel may not be it. Sounds like Ben Johnson :manny:

Vrabel is going to New England i think poles is gone and Ray Agnew will be the new gm poles only has one year left on his deal so doesn't make sense to hire a new coach with a lame duck gm

This would be the dream scenario along with BJ

This dude footwork is atrocious

And look at this throw look at his feet

Caleb main issue is his foot work that's why his accuracy is awful hopefully Ben Johnson makes him work on his mechanics all off season

I was watching one of them qb school cacs and they were basically like footwork is the easiest thing to fix over a offseason but for uber talented qbs its not something they really had to focus on in college so thats when you get shyt like Caleb. but its fixable just not on the fly

He should go to Jordan Palmer that's who helped Josh Allen with his mechanics and footwork

ryan poles seat getting awfully hot the last two weeks. no more eberflus to take the blame.

looks like kieran amagaje might be a complete bust. I was wondering the entire year why a 3rd round rookie OL on a team with a TERRIBLE OL wasn't playing. and now we know why.

In all that's been done, for Poles to be upset with the current structure is ludicrous. How much more unchecked buffoonery does he want to commit? He had his play time and squandered it hitching his wagon to Eberflus and hiring friends and Armstrong clientele.

I don't get how he can be unhappy in someone recognizing the BS and holding him accountable.
