Cade Cunningham wasn't happy after the Detroit Pistons 11th straight loss on Sunday. He didn't mince words postgame about where the Pistons are at right now.

“We got to be realistic about the situation,” Cunningham said. “It’s hard to just be like, ‘We’re good, we’re good,’ you know what I’m saying? Because we’re bad. We have to address that. We have to address what we’re not good at. Address it with not only our words but on the court, in the huddles.”

Cunningham also said his team needs to compete better throughout games. That starts with coming in with the right mindset.

“Unacceptable,” Cunningham said. “We’re the youngest team in the league, scrapping and clawing for everything. That should be the last thing that needs to be asked of us or talked about; how hard we’re competing. That should be a given. When we wake up in the morning, we should be like, ‘We got to get to the court.’ (Head coach Monty Williams) shouldn’t have to ask (about our competitive level). That’s something me and (Isaiah Stewart) are also trying to stay vocal about. Everyone has to come with it.”

 Taking responsibility for the franchise, things you love to see from a 3rd yr 1st overall pick.....can you help change the corrosive and loser ass culture we've had here for the past (insert number) years?

Looking fwd to seeing if he can pull his unit together similar to Shai in a few seasons. They've drafted some talent, maybe not OKC level, but still, the sentiment is the same..

I mean you can't trot out some of the lineups they've put out there and expect to win. Cade is my guy and he isn't playing that well but he is being setup to fail. When Duren is back just run him, Cade, and have everyone else be shooters. You can prolly keep Thompson out there but he kills them on offense too. Being a good rebounding guard is worthless imo

They woulda been better off hiring some random assistant coach from another team and paying him significantly less
The Monte move never made sense because that team wasn’t ready yet to take the leap like Houston was to justify bringing in a vet coach.

The fact that they had to overpay him to motivate to take the job should have told them to steer clear as well.

In Monty’s defense though, he wasn’t run and a lot of Ayton’s issues have carried over to Portland.

I get and understand Ayton has issues. Monty not consistent with his criticism of players. I can tell he has favorites and with a young team everyone needs to get the same constructive criticism.
