This is all BS from people who are trying to discredit Douglas. Buster Douglas was the only fighter to ever beat Mike Tyson in his absolute prime during his pro career.and less prepared..he was far from the text book dynamite kid..
no way am i discrediting douglas, he was on fire and was destined to win. Mike founda nice powerful blow to nearly seal the victory..This is all BS from people who are trying to discredit Douglas. Tyson ALMOST won that fight which people like to conveniently ignore for better or for worse.
IMO this is one of the last great performances Mike Tyson ever gave us. He was never the same after this fight and definitely lost most, if not all of his discipline after jail.
It's ridiculous that 25 years later people are still trying to discredit Douglas.I watched that fight with my father, as soon as it was over he opened the front door and started screaming "Ooooooo shiiiiit oooooo shiiiit" loud as hell
That left that Buster landed while Tyson was going down was so vicious
Aint trying discredit nobody breh, but its the truth wasnt saying tyson was shot, dude wasnt all the way there and half assed prepared...hell wasnt he dropped in sparing? This is all BS from people who are trying to discredit Douglas. I think you are because you were implying that it was not textbook dynamite kid. Was this 1985-1986 full of Brooklyn Rage Mike? Nah, but Tyson fought a GREAT fight. He just got fukkED UP, Douglas was popping him all night and its to Tyson's credit that he lasted that long.no way am i discrediting douglas, he was on fire and was destined to win. Boxers get dropped in sparring all the time. Watch the fight again, Tyson was doing all that he could and actually looked good against Douglas.Aint trying discredit nobody breh, but its the truth wasnt saying tyson was shot, dude wasnt all the way there and half assed prepared...hell wasnt he dropped in sparing?
Nights my G..Tyson spent the previous night fukking a bunch of japanese chicks.
Tyson was just too short for the heavy weight division.... he had good power and with that is all he had to compete... once a fighter could take his power, Tyson had a much harder job fighting someone much bigger.
Yall mentioning Mike not being prepared but what about his corner?
These inept mothafukkas filled a rubber glove with ice water and held it to Mike's face between rounds cuz they didn't have an end-swell...
How do you not pack an end-swell?
That is not an excuse for not being prepared...Can't think of a time where they ever needed it
Mike very rarely got hit cleanly in those days.
