The count wasn't slow, it was off...
When Douglas goes down look at the man on the bottom left hand corner with the white glove...That is who the ref is supposed to pick up the count from, they are supposed to be in sync...The count has been managed like this ever since the Dempsey/Tunney fiasco in the 1920's....On the Douglas KD the ref is clearly on 2 when the dude with the gloves is on 4...
I can't watch the video now but ur saying the guy in the white glove would be the accurate one right?.. if so he should have been counted out?

first time of many that the sweet science would break my heart 
Douglas at his best and in shape is an elite Heavyweight and would give alot of elite Heavys issues and full credit to him...but Tyson came in that fight undertrained and sluggish and he looked like shyt in sparring/training camp in the leadup...wasn't Tyson at his best.

nah it was more than 7 million..it was 24 million
Tyson was in some sort of condition because it took 10 rounds for buster to get rid of him
Looked at the official scorecards and one had Tyson ahead.. one had it a draw and the other on a big lead for douglas.
I watched that fight with my father, as soon as it was over he opened the front door and started screaming "Ooooooo shiiiiit oooooo shiiiit" loud as hell

Props to Buster Douglas and all that, but Tyson got screwed over. All these posts about how any Tyson would've lost, but a out of shape sloppy Tyson STILL should've won this fight.

Tyson got dropped in sparring leading up to the fight. He wasn't training.
If it took 10 rounds it's cause even an untrained prime tyson is still a lot for most fighters to handle.

Whether you want to complain about the count or not, at the end of the day, as Harold Lederman has branded into our skulls for years, in most situations, INCLUDING counting knockdowns, the only call that counts and matters is that of the ref, and the ref ONLY. Period.
From what I heard, there was $24 mil on the table to fight Holyfield and $500 thou for a rematch....
