just rewatched the fight... Douglas was sharp, feet bouncing around.. i think the third he came out shooting that jab from the shoulder.
Tyson looked like.... tyson .
The way Douglas fought would beat any form of tyson... Douglas had the power to keep Tyson off him and knew about smothering him early on.
wrong, that was the beginning of the end of tyson, he got rid of all this coaches and replaced them with kings stooges and his reign was over at that point
buster was a stiff and a bumSo ur saying tysons prime was before that fight?
A coincidence that he fought stiffs and bums?
but credit to mike, he can take a good beating! look at the lewis fight?Tyson was in some sort of condition because it took 10 rounds for buster to get rid of him
Outclassed, beat up and ko'd Tyson, it had nothing to do with luck. Douglas would have bested a lot of HW's that night
Sometimes...some guys just want it more. They do better training and take the challenge. Keeping up that work rate is how we find the great ones though...he couldn't do that in the long run and got exposed quick. Good story though. Glad he spends responsibly.
hes stopped bobbing and weaving, that exposed his heightTyson was just too short for the heavy weight division.... he had good power and with that is all he had to compete... once a fighter could take his power, Tyson had a much harder job fighting someone much bigger.
Im sure bobbing and weaving helped alot... but when u facing the top guys they can time u...plus they way Tyson bobbed and weaved can be very tiring.hes stopped bobbing and weaving, that exposed his height

yea thats where his training exposed him
if he would of stayed with custamados guys he would of been much better off
don king
That and drugs... idk when he started using... also I've read that he stopped having training for fights, as in training camps..well I should say he would have one for a week or not at all..so I read, im not sure if true.
But that interview he had with jim gray, the one where he said his back was broken.. I think I remember saying he didn't train fir that fight... I mean who does that?
it wasn't just bobbing and weaving, he used to cut the ring like a motherfukker, the guy was a skilled techincian man.Im sure bobbing and weaving helped alot... but when u facing the top guys they can time u...plus they way Tyson bobbed and weaved can be very tiring.
