There’s coups all the time. This is normal for west Africa, isn’t it?
Democracy is what’s revolutionary in that region.
How do you expect countries that still pay colonial tax to France & have no independent currency (all their currencies are tied to France) to “negotiate better deals”?
They can’t even negotiate themselves out of paying colonial tax & getting their own currencies - yet you expect them to negotiate deals on equal standing with people who see them as vassals.
A lot of you are naive.I don’t think a lot of you know much about Francophone Africa: these countries are basically still French colonies in 2023 & they’ll have to shed their blood like Algeria did, to get France off their backs. It’s a needed sacrifice they have make in the short term for long term gains.
