Now if US does lose and the Ghana-Portugal team dont tie then these are the scenarios:

Ghana can only win by one goal

Portugal can only win by 4 goals









So basically we need CR7 to perform next week as its unlikely that they will win by 5 goals to advance where as Ghana has a better chance of advancing if they win by two or more goals.
