Only realistically attainable free agent next summer is gordon hayward and he could go to the celtics to play for his old college coach. That 2017 2 max they tryna sell is a pipe dream

Chris paul- linking up with bron or going to new york
Russell westbrook- L.A. lakers or clippers or staying in okc
Blake Griffin - I doubt his hollywood ass leaves los angeles and his hyper active owner who pays luxury taxes to come to chicago :aicmon:
Greak Freak will get extended

Who else is out there? :pachaha: bulls selling hope as always.Jimmy breaking out and a free agent wanting to play with him is the best chance they have. That's why I'm saying build a squad up with younger cats let hoiberg coach let's see if he legit or a fraud he'll have the personnel if he good then you have that as a selling point like brad stevens in boston.

He's asking for 2 years from what I've seen.

Right now Denver is offering him 2 years 25Ms, I'm not sure if the 2nd year is a team or player option tho.

from what i heard he wants 3 years at $20m from Miami - although 2 years at 56 is probably looking enticing but he doesn't want to play anywhere else. It's either Miami or the Cavs, he doesn't want to go out in irrelevancy out in Denver.

Chicago signing Wade isn't putting us in a good position and would be like signing Pau Gasol, players still refuse to come here because of the FO and it's gotten even worse now

Not sure why people would want Wade, especially on a multi-year contract. Thinking Wade could entice FAs is silly IMO. Nikkas will either go where the money is, or where they can win. 35 year old Wade ain't helping the Bulls win breh.

And as far as 2017 FAs, I agree with shamgod's point. The only realistic player we have a shot at is Hayward and MAYBE Blake. But let's just assume hypothetically we get both players, would a lineup of Valentine/Jimmy/Hayward/Blake/Lopez even be good enough to challenge Cleveland?? And that's assuming Valentine is good.

Honestly? I don't know but that's essentially the BEST CASE scenario for the Bulls and it's very unlikely to happen.

This is why I'm pro-tank TBH. Especially now considering Golden State just placed a moratorium on title contention for 29 other teams.

nothing wrong with being pessimistic, i for sure have had that approach many of seasons

but, nothing wrong with seeing the other side of it too.

you add wade, to change perception, so that hayward does not end up your only realistic target. you dont settle with that, you find a way to make your franchise attractive. adding wade helps that.

and, once again, we waaaay past the point of trying to push for a tank. its just not going to happen. that plan was canned when we decided not to take the kings ransom from boston for jimmy and we added rondo. that plan was canned when we added lopez to the starting line up. its clear they are still trying to compete.

i have never been for tanking because i dont think that will get us the star we need to join jimmy, and i dont want the duration of jimmy contract to be about being terrible for 2 or 3 seasons until we finally are bad enough to land a top pick. jimmy dont deserve him and "developing" players for the next 4 seasons until he leaves. and every year we go, the harder it will be to trade jimmy.

so since its clear they will still compete, might as well get as much quality here as you can, as long as it doesnt compromise your future cap space and leaves you flexible. adding wade does exactly that. keeps us flexible and makes us more attractive.

and i never just throw my hands because some superteam gets put together, right now its just on paper, and a lot of things can change. who knows durant might kill the chemistry, injuries can happen, who knows but if you elect to remain competitive you keep going after it, no telling what can turn in your favor. but you miss that opportunity if you just throw your hands up over some shyt that is just on paper right now.

why would trade rose, if we're going after wade, then let pau walk.

This org is ass backwards with their thinking and moves.

Coulda had this starting lineup

gasol
gibson
butler
wade
rose

that team can compete with the cavs, now this team is trash with rondo and the others. Butler is the only star on the team

:what: THEY BLEW THE CAP SPACE ON RONDO THOUGH.

I CAN ONLY ASSUME THERES A WAY TO MAKE HIS 2ND YEAR LOADED
DUE TO THE NEXT CAP INCREASE.

1ST YEAR 10
2ND YEAR 30+
3RD YEAR 20+ PARTIALLY GUARANTEED

Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but even after adding Rondo for 15M this year... won't they still have like 20Ms to spend? And this is with Calderon, Dunleavy and Taj on the roster. If they dump them, they have even more money to work with.

3 years for Wade is not ideal tho.

i keep reading that wade is looking for either 2 year at 25 per, or 3 years 20 mill per.

we have 11.4 mill in space, if we dumped dunleavy and stretched calderon, we would have the 20 to give him.

and the idea to back load is still possible, 20 1st year, 25 2nd year 25 3rd year partially guaranteed.

also found this interesting :

They have 11-13M open now. Could stretch Calderon to open another 5, and then they must know they have deals in place (ala how GS got Durant before having space) to move Dunleavy and Taj

They could have just kept all those guys and signed Wade outright, they signed Rondo though :dahell:

I don't see how Rondo/Wade/Jimmy works tbh, unless Rondo came off the bench and rorations looked like:

Wade, Jimmy, Doug, Niko, Lopez

Rondo, Valentine, Snell/Zisper, Portis, Felicio

So we could have kept rose/gasol and signed d wade this off season @cornercommission2k12
:ohhh:

This FO:dwillhuh::what::why::wtb:

:snoop::pacspit:
yea, :snoop:

i wont rock out on them too hard about that tho, pau might have wanted more, then we would have had to dump dunleavy, and some one else anyway to fit wade and pau in.

and its a chance that this wade thing is really out the blue and gar pax readjusting to the opportunity that has just come about. i know i never thought wade would be taking any meetings today, and even i thought for a minute that wade and riley was just doing the 2 step, but its chance this rift might be real.

and im not going to rock on the front office for not doing nothing, then rock on them when they finally get off they corny asses and do something. we can all disagree with the signing, but what we cant deny is the front office is at least trying to make the team better. im not with these clowns yet, but i cant knock them for trying. :yeshrug:
