Dudes really shytting on Punk’s work when he has classics and gave Taker his last great match. You mu fukkas, man. :scust:
I like Punk but I also think he was sloppy and overrated in ring in his prime. That was a decade ago. You know the kind of athlete he is but like I said prove me wrong. @Jmare007 is right that his promo skills and charisma make him different. I'm just not gonna act like he was the GOAT worker like sum. :hubie:

Punk was actually a bit sloppy in the ring and not the best worker. His ring work was overrated because he came up in WWE during a period in which most of the workers were subpar so it was easy for him to stand out:manny:

he was also the main Indie dude that opened the door for others

that being said, dude is legit on the mic, can create characters and has good ring psychology while being solid in the ring

I can’t wait for him to come back

Even on the indies Punk wasn't thought to be a great wrestler or athlete, but he was taller than most on the indies and could talk in a period where no one else on the indies could. Dude spent his whole career overachieving in the ring because his mouth allowed him to do so, which is fine, many greats have done that and also been even less athletic. He was never a GOAT tier worker at any stage and was constantly doing ugly ass spots he had no physical ability to properly pull of.

If I were in charge of hiring and I can only get one of the two, I'd rather get Daniel Bryan.

DB was the "Best in the World" way before CM Punk ever gave himself that moniker.

I'm not even a CM Punk hater, just a realist.

Pretty sure no one called him a GOAT and meant it. I’ve never seen his name listed in GOAT conversations. But you can’t deny his impact in this business. He’s the reason I got back into Wrasslin.

I always thought he needed a better finisher for this reason. The GTS looked hilarious anytime he had to do it on anyone over 190ish pounds :mjlol:

Will he, though? He left the game 7 years ago and was on the slide down even then. Since then the only thing he's done to stay in the limelight is 2 very embarrassing UFC fights and some DTV movies. Punk is just another in a long line of top guys who couldn't stop the WWE audience and ratings bleed. 7 years is a whole generation in wrestling.
Trot him out in Chicago and let him soak that in until Dynamite. Let him cut a pipebomb on everyone from the fans to Tony Khan and let him cook. Theyre already at a million without him so might as well have him add some more lapsed fans who recognize him

The 7 years away doesnt mean much when Summer of Punk and the Pipebomb are still referenced as signature moments of 2010s WWE and the last time a bunch of people watched. There's no question he's gonna bring eyes to the product.

As far as the long line of top guys who couldn't stop the WWE audience/ratings bleed, that's McMahon self-fulfilling prophecy nonsense. The only "top guy" who matters in that discussion is the one running the company.

I like Daniel Bryan but not even he could get me to watch it.

and CM Punk might be going there too ?
it really would be All Incel if that happens.

CM Punk and that goofy ass pipe bomb one of the most overrated things in wrestling along with the Young Bucks and that Matt Hardy delete shyt.
all of them together in the one company ? thats just flagrant

:hhh:
