I like Punk but I also think he was sloppy and overrated in ring in his prime. That was a decade ago. You know the kind of athlete he is but like I said prove me wrong. @Jmare007 is right that his promo skills and charisma make him different. I'm just not gonna act like he was the GOAT worker like sum. :hubie:
When Punk was on it, he was superb. I remember him dialing it in quite a lot though, which is why a lot of his work looked sloppy. Like he was going through the motions, especially in the months before he retired.

After the Brock feud he mentally checked out, you could see it in his matches and promos

Yeah, he stopped giving a fukk completely. His comeback sequence during matches was so sloppy and it was noticeable on TV. The short clotheslines and the shining wizard in the corner stand out.

All of these new signings and licensed music must cost a ton. Tony Khan got that TBS/Rampage 8 figure deal and started spending it immediately:russ:

Jericho said otherwise. No disrespect to Black, Lio, and Andrade; but those guys aren't moving the needle like Bryan does. Getting him is a game changer, and if they're getting him then TNT will want that to be promoted ahead of time to get as many viewers as possible
That’s sucks for us fans, it’s like saying let’s cater to the casuals and non regular watchers by building up hype around a big star. It would be a bigger moment if they just popped up cause those are legitimate surprises that are worth it.

However I can see why you would rather build anticipation for a big name debut like that. They can hype it up and it could create a big ratings pop. I will say that now the debut angle has to feel like it’s been worked on for two months. They can’t just show up at the end of the show , hit their finisher and leave. The whole show better be built around them with a full explanation of why they are here.

I haven't watched shyt from AEW since the very beginning. Bryan and Punk have me intrigued :patrice:

AEW brehs or brehs that watch every now and then, has the product been decent? I like sensical wrestling, good storytelling, and hot angles.

How would you debut Bryan and/or Punk? Who would they feud with from the jump? It'd have to be an established AEW guy right? My first thoughts are to pivot away from Jericho & have MJF feud with Punk & get Bryan involved with the Hangman/Dark Order/Elite fukkery. But then again, adding D-Bry/Punk would overshadow Hangman so it may be best to avoid that feud entirely.

Punk
: Have him come out at the end of All Out to confront Page if he wins and build from there
Bryan: At the NYC show, have Omega in the ring cutting a promo about how he doesn't need a belt to be considered the best in the world and have Bryan come out to confront him to build towards a match at Full Gear.

Punk: Attack Cody, threaten his family, lose debut match
Bryan: Attack Cody, threaten his family, lose debut match

Come on man, you watch AEW, you know how they roll :troll:

So Cal
I always thought he needed a better finisher for this reason. The GTS looked hilarious anytime he had to do it on anyone over 190ish pounds :mjlol:

Never seen anybody botch their finisher more than punk.
