I aint mad a bruno mars, his music is shyt and he rips on black culture, but he is clearly talented.

Yall (nikkas) allowed this fukkery, as well as this fakkit rap from all the lil uzi fakkits and lil opium overdoses, yall are to blame
.

Yall lowered the bar in both rnb, rap, and rocknroll, allowing all these crackers like lil xan, pump, bruno, r.thicke, and Timberlake to come through
its Black folks faults they allowed Bruno into a pop-culture.. then, you go on to blame Black folks for damn near everything else wrong with music.. :patrice:

just Black folks, huh.. :mjpls:

OMG bruno is a cutural appropriatoer! Smh. These fake woke clowns are so tiring. Who cares number 1. And for two Bruno makes good music and been Doing The same style since he was kid.. the vids are out there to prove this. If u don't like it don't listen but last time I checked those bands Bruno sampling been eating off his records as well and even doing cameos in his videos.
Take that cape off.:hhh:
You're Nigerian this doesn't even concern you.

White folks and non-blacks out here acting like what he doing is brand new. I do like “too good to say goodbye” from his recent album though. Bruno is blatantly swagger jacking but at least he’s honest about it unlike some of those cac artists.
Word, I aint mad at him, i just don't listen. At least he can actually sing, and seems genuine in his appropriation, unlike the crackers who do it.

nikkas are so lame with the music game, we allow it it to go to shyt in all of the genres we start, then get mad at nonblacks for adopting the shyt that we we abandoned for shyt like cash money records, fast and flashy.

Where are the nikkas out here championing DAM FUNK? He is the counter to this bullshyt

He's doing what sells. If he could make money singing like Pat Boone or George Strait, that's what he'd do. I'd rather it be him than Justin Timberfake or someone like that. Probably helps that he's racially ambiguous where no one can put him in a neat box. I don't think he's the greatest singer ever, but he's energetic and seems to put on a good show. Staying power comes from being able to make it work live-in concert. This is why rappers always become businessmen or disappear. Their shyt doesn't really hold up well over time and most lack stage presence.

We can't create awesome culture every 5 minutes and NOT EXPECT people to borrow.

Her argument shouldn't be with Bruno per se, but with White people and the industry in general. Can't pin acceptance on Bruno when he's just rocking out.

OP post the full video for context purposes.

Some of the brehs and brehettes actually put things in the correct perspective.

It’s not just Bruno who I feel is an example of culture appropriation. Adele, Sam Smith, JT, etc are others who taken our sound and used it for their gain too.

The anger here isn’t because Bruno Mars does black music, they’re angry because white people would rather listen to Bruno Mars than your average black R&B artist. Which again comes down to craving white acceptance.

Don’t take out your white acceptance mental illness on Bruno Mars. :mjlol:

Mars is talented, but he does just kind of remix other people's shyt. :pachaha: that song with cardi b sounds like something that would have been on a Black movie soundtrack from 1992. and the song he made that he basically took trinidad james' hook like 2 months after james' song came out.

We champion something new and allow everyone nonblack to participate in it. Then the music industry takes it, waters it down, sells it till they can't no more, then they sabatoge it so that its no longer appealing.

Come on @hustlemania I tag you all the time in real music threads, do you know I aint with the bullshyt, only GOD shyt:hubie:

Yeah no doubt. I feel the same about them too. I just don't think Bruno is the appropriate one to have the target on his back at this time.

God damn she took em to church :picard:

I agree with her.

That looks like a Baltimore Orioles shirt, a team owned by a white person, sold by Fanatics, a white company, while twitter handle is Sensei(Asian Teacher). So is she culture appropriating white and asian culture :jbhmm:

is it oochie wally or is it one mic :jbhmm:

in before cac this and cac that

I just think a lot of these 'culture vulture' arguments are weak and insane and majority of the time its coming from someone using something from someone else culture in the first place (fashion , etc.). Basically a whole bunch of fakeness for retweets

are there culture vultures? Hell yea! No Jumper Adam dude and Iggy Azalea are obvious. People who didnt grow up around any element of anything they are trying to sell = culture vulture

Bruno Mars :usure: why we acting like there arent videos of him as a youngin doin the same shyt :usure: he cant be a fan of michael jackson when hes a kid and doesnt even know what the words culture vulture are and mimic his moves :usure: he supposed to give up his dreams cause some nerds on a forum called the coli gonna hate him :usure: bruno mars was dancing and singing like this before forums was even invented :usure:

im probably gonna get negged for this post but fukk it, the shyt needs to be said.. this shyt getting ridiculous.. so a mafukka cant dance and sing since a lil kid no more :martin:

If bruno mars a culture vulture than anyone who posts in this thread agreeing with her who owns a Polo, Gucci, Versace or anything like that a culture vulture as well  you cant complain about it and then do it yourself

just tired of the fake outrage
